OVERVIEW
Morning Brew is launching a new Sales Development team under the revenue organization. This team will focus on prospecting, qualifying and pitching the Morning Brew value proposition to potential new customers and advertisers. We focus on high-growth B2B brands that are looking to achieve a variety of marketing goals by tapping into the Morning Brew audience and products.
We're seeking a self-starter, with experience in customer-facing roles who can be a founding member of this team to drive net-new revenue growth. This candidate will strategically research, prospect and outbound new business using sales enablement tools and other creative prospecting tactics.
This individual should have a passion for partnerships across consumer and professional brands, a drive to get scrappy, the ability to relentlessly navigate and network to brand decision-makers, and constantly seek to help their team surpass revenue goals and internal expectations.
This is not a typical sales role. Just as we provide the best daily business experience to our readers, we work tirelessly to understand the marketing goals of our advertisers and develop creative and tailored campaigns that WOW our brand partners without jeopardizing the quality of our voice and brand.
Morning Brew is based in New York City and while we are remote empathetic, the ability to come into office at least a few days a week is strongly preferred.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON
Prospecting, outreaching & vetting a high volume of new partners
Find resourceful ways to build qualified pipeline
Identify and target top prospects in our focus industry verticals to set up meetings
Become a master in the first call framework in order to qualify, summarize business needs, buying processes and organizational charts
Articulate the Morning Brew value proposition and map to clients goals and KPIs
Handle a high volume of outbound outreach and stay organized
Work collaboratively with the rest of the sales team to share learnings, best practices and strategy to achieve team goals
QUALIFICATIONS
1-2 years of experience in a customer facing role; SDR experience preferred
Experience in media and/or advertising preferred
Strong foundation in client communications
Experience researching, prospecting and outreach preferred
Ability forecast and meet quarterly targets
Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills. You understand accountability and put the team first, always!
Ambitious, resourceful and driven. Taking the initiative to deliver beyond the expectation.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. Creativity is also a must.

COMPENSATION $70,000-$75,000 base + commission *Final offers for this job will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided, commensurate with experience. Total offer package to include benefits highlighted under our perks section below.
