Yelp Restaurants is looking for a driven foundational hire to take on the Sales Development Representative role (SDR). As an SDR, you will play an integral role in supporting the go to market team in winning multi-location brands across North America to bring them onto our suite of restaurant products.

Your day to day will consist of working directly with our leadership team across several departments as a critical function within our fast growing sales organization. Sitting at the top of our sales funnel, you will be interacting with restaurant executives to understand their needs, the competitive landscape and how purchasing decisions are made. Often, as the first point of contact for potential customers, you will also be tasked with making a great first impression on restaurant owners and clearly articulating the value proposition of Yelp Reservations and Yelp Nowait.

Based on performance, this role is a launching point into several different career paths within the Yelp Restaurants organization. As an SDR, you will be exposed to departments such as sales, marketing, product, and business analytics. What You'll Do

  • Research the restaurant industry, identifying key stakeholders and establishing a fit for a Yelp Restaurants product

  • Map out complex multi-location brands, stakeholders and buying process

  • Analyzing data to optimize sales efficiency

  • Coordinating closely with the sales organization to develop white glove strategies for the sales team, including setting appointments with key decision makers

  • Initiating first point of contact with potential Yelp Restaurant partners

  • Synthesize data into compelling stories and presentations

  • You have a strong attention to detail, and are able to listen with the intention of relaying important information across several business units

  • Proficient with Salesforce.com. Familiar with opportunities, reports, and cases.

  • Google Suite & Microsoft Office Proficient. Particularly in building presentations that tell a story with products and data.

  • Adaptability

  • You are agile in your thinking and have the ability to think quickly on your feet and seek additional resources when needed
  • Willingness to Learn and Grow
  • You are open to feedback, adaptive and coachable; you embrace and thrive in a fast paced high-growth environment
  • Attitude - mature, optimistic, strong work ethic, and have a growth mindset

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with restaurants or restaurant technology (reservation systems, waitlist systems, front-of-house management tools)
  • Startup / rapid growth company experience
