Position Summary:

The position of Sales Development Representative (SDR), reporting to the RCG Sales Manager, is responsible for identifying and qualifying new sales opportunities within new accounts for the RCG sales team to pursue and close. Included in his/her responsibilities are sales lead research, prospecting, managing all aspects of the sales cycle, ability to identify new opportunities and accurately present the full suite of CSI products and services. The position is based in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities:

  • Identification and nurturing of new sales opportunities within assigned territory

  • Management of sales cycle and sales pipeline development, specifically the early stages of the CSI process (Development, Discovery, Qualification)

  • Continuous accountability for the status of all sales prospects within territory

  • Effectively present and deliver CSI value propositions and solutions

  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams (sales reps, account mgmt., product experts)

  • Continuous accountability for the status of his/her sales and documentation of all sales contacts

  • Co-selling with other team members via conference calls and webinars

  • Other duties assigned by the RCG Sales Manager

Requirements:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Consultative selling skills

  • Strong relationship building skills

  • Ability to use technology and analysis tools (Excel, Outlook, Dynamics CRM, internet)

  • Minimum of 1 year business to business sales experience is preferred, regulatory compliance, banking industry, professional services experience a plus

  • Experience in SaaS sales and financial services sales is a plus

  • Great attitude with desire to be a key player on a strong team

  • Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills both over the phone and in-person are a critical success factor for this role, including: assertiveness, impactful communication style with ability to influence actions/business decisions, high energy level with a bias for action, high credibility/respect from colleagues, and a positive, gets-things-done attitude.

  • Believes that work should be fun, challenging, and a rewarding experience

  • A bachelor's degree is required

The first 2 months are training and we anticipate new Sales Associates will graduate to Marketing Consultant in 60 days. </p><p><br> </p><h3>Questions You May Ask</h3> <ul> <li> <em>How do I get leads?<br><br></em>We invest heavily in our own marketing and partnerships to generate leads. Once you are fully ramped up, you will receive approximately 50-60 leads per month. Of those leads 10% will close immediately, and the other 80% will take 3 months or more to close.<br><br> </li> <li> <em>What does the training process look like?<br><br></em>The training process is a 2 month process. The first 4 weeks are a highly focused mixture of class time, online learning, and on-the-job coaching. By the second week of training, you will be actively making phone calls and working on building your own sales pipeline while also completing online learning courses and working to close new business. You will start out by calling through our database of hundreds of thousands of leads. As your skill set grows you will be wrapped into the lead flow and will receive live leads in real time. Your time on the phone during training is fully supported by training staff and experienced Marketing Consultants.<br><br> </li> <li> <em>What are the opportunities for Growth?<br><br></em>The upward mobility for a Sales Associate is to move into the Marketing Consultant role and eventually lead a team as a Director of Sales. Directors of Sales lead and support a team of 10 Marketing Consultants. These are micro teams within the macro sales team.
