ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Sales Development Representative who is eager to learn about B2B payments to join our team. The Sales Development Representative will be responsible for calling bank partners, training them, and activating them. While not directly selling, the SDR will contribute to the Acquisition team by building sales opportunities for the Sales Managers. We are looking for a self-motivated teammate with high social intelligence and a natural inclination for selling. The SDR will act as the initial point of contact while making a business impact through lead generation. This role will be based out of Chicago, IL.

At Extend, you'll:

  • Execute Extend's Banker's activation strategy by researching and identify bankers within each partner bank

  • Map bankers in the partner org chart

  • Apply sales development best practices with email, phone, and social outreach to connect with new bankers

  • Engage with partners to articulate our product's value proposition

  • Demo our product

  • Develop a pipeline for the Sales Manager to work and close

  • Maintain accurate client relationship data within Salesforce

  • Report to sales manager with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results

THE CANDIDATE

Ideally, you'll have:

  • 1+ years of customer-facing sales experience

  • Entrepreneurship: a self-starter who has a high sense of urgency and can work within undefined processes

  • CRM experience (preferably Salesforce)

  • A growth mindset

  • Ability to understand financial services

  • Excellent listening skills and energetic phone presence

  • Presentation skills

  • Strong communication skills

The base salary for this role is $50,000-$60,000. Your final base salary will be determined based on various factors which may include, but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications. This role is eligible for commission subject to Extend's Sales Incentive Plan.
