Were looking for a talented and results-driven Sales Development Manager to lead our sales development team. The ideal candidate is an exceptional people leader with at least one year of experience in directly managing an SDR team.

Responsibilities

  • Coach and develop a team of high performing SDRs (8-10 reps). Be prepared to get hands dirty helping SDRs with strategy breaking into individual top target accounts.
  • Foster a culture of high energy, ambition and continuous improvement on the team
  • Work closely with sales and marketing leadership to drive account-based strategy and continuously meet qualified opportunity and pipeline goals
  • Work closely with sales and marketing operations to scale process and improve efficiencies
  • Scale sales development playbook for effective prospecting and best practices
  • Take a data-driven approach to uncover trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Manage sales development tech stack (Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, LeadIQ, Drift)
  • Hire and onboard new SDRs
  • Help SDRs plan and prepare for their future sales career path

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 1+ years of of SDR management experience
  • A track record of exceeding goals as an individual contributor and manager
  • Deep understanding of sales development process and fundamentals
  • Experience in a primarily outbound prospecting sales environment
  • A passion for coaching and rep development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to use a data-driven approach to make decisions and improvements
  • Comfortable working with modern sales development tools

Position summary: The Sales Development Manager (SDM) works directly with customers and our Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) to advance opportunities through the sales process workflow at target accounts, deploys coaching and training (sales methodology/skills, technical, product) to RSMs, and plays the role of a sales specialist in customer facing situations. The SDM plays a key role in new product launches, seller productivity improvement, new seller onboarding and the sharing of knowledge across the community of front-line sellers within a sales Division This is a high impact, seasoned technical sales position critical to the successful deployment of Hach's corporate strategy as well as leading and sustaining high levels of productivity across their assigned regions. In this role, you'll be the go to resource for those outside of the box and strategic sales deals. If you are passionate about finding innovative ways to bring new solutions to customers while helping a team of sellers achieve sales goals, then this is the role for you! Essential duties and responsibilities: * Qualify, advance and close complex sales opportunities within assigned division and target accounts; including performing site evaluations to uncover unmet needs and drive funnel growth at target accounts * Drive growth of lab and process equipment sales in support of strategic solutions strategy * Training and on-boarding of new RSMs to quickly adapt new associates. * Act as the new product specialist who works closely with new product commercialization teams to ensure rapid deployment of technical and commercial content to the field. Act as a Player Coach to ensure rapid adoption. * Organizing and lead lunch and learns with end-users, system integrators and E&C firms Qualifications: * BA, BS or MS degree in a technical field * 5+ years' experience in technical customer facing roles i.e. field applications, service or sales * Knowledge of instrumentation and control technologies; ideally capital / semi-capital equipment * Familiarity with one or more of Hach Vertical Markets i.e. Municipal, Power, Beverage, Oil & Gas * Formal sales training with experience value selling and leading value sellers * Exposure to complex sales processes or large account selling Are you interested yet?
