This role oversees the Inside Sales Desk personnel. They are responsible for managing staff that is responsible for initiating and/or responding to telephone sales calls from/to new or prospective clients and existing wholesalers in the field.
Manages sales desk personnel; plans, allocates and monitors work to assure the attainment of department objectives; recommends appropriate staffing levels, provides input to the budget process, and makes decisions regarding hiring, compensation, performance appraisals, training and development, and other related personnel actions.
Monitors and enhances the quality and effectiveness of telephone sales efforts.
Prepares sales reports for management.
Assists in the development and delivery of telephone sales training programs.
Works with senior management to develop the department's strategic plans, objectives and goals.
Coordinates activities with other internal sales management and sales support areas.
Bachelors degree or equivalent.
5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 required. Series 24 required or the ability to obtain.
4+ years of industry related experience with at least 2 years on a mutual fund sales desk required.
Ability to coach, mentor and develop sales professionals.
Strong knowledge of investment market and company products and services.
