The Analyst, Sales Deductions is responsible for all deductions on assigned customers which includes maintaining the internal and external customer relationship, and identifying, investigating and resolving open deductions on assigned customer accounts. This position also prepares reconciliations, monthly reporting and analytics for all open deductions for assigned customers which can be circulated to impacted business units.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Deductions
Ensure accurate and efficient reconciliations and reporting of all open and resolved deductions for assigned customers
Manage customer deductions process for assigned customer, and handle issue escalation when required
Identify root causes for deductions and resolve all deductions in a timely manner with a clear understanding of the impact to the business until and the financial statement
Prepare deduction packages to support issuance of credit memo, collection process or claim processing
Discuss with the sales units and other support units in order to address and resolve deduction issues of varying complexity in a timely manner
Ensure accurate and efficient reconciliations and reporting of all open and resolved deductions for assigned customers through preparation of deduction packages to support issuance of credit memo, collection process or claim processing
Make special arrangements negotiated with the customer on deductions
Research and prepare documentation to support audit and compliance requirements
Seek opportunities to work with customer to reduce the unexpected deductions in the future in order to minimize unforeseen shortages of cash payments for the Company
Accountable for accuracy of the open deductions for assigned customers which includes monthly reporting to the sales units
Monitor trends in deduction activity and provide the information to the Finance team
Reporting
Generate reports to measure daily performance and align with team metrics
Meet month-end and quarter-end deadlines for reporting requirements
Prepare reports and analysis of deduction activity and key insights as requested for management review
Continuous Improvement
Identify, develop, and implement system and process improvements.
Seek opportunities for continued improvements, efficiencies and best practices
Work with deduction leadership and team to implement identified solutions and reduce operational inefficiencies
ABOUT OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
Education
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Finance, or Accounting
Experience

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing with different levels of management and customers
Ability to manage multiple work assignments at the same time in an efficient and effective manner; prioritize and plan work activities, using time efficiently

Participate cross functionally and place success of team and company above individual accomplishments
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends and patterns
ADDITIONAL DETAILS FOR THIS ROLE
This role will be a hybrid role. Subject to business needs, employees may work remotely up to two days per week. Assigned office days will be determined by managers. #LI-Hybrid
The salary (or hiring) range for this position is $57,000 - $67,000 per year
Starting salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data
