Sales Data Analyst Intern:

The Sales Data Analyst intern will work with the sales organization and is one that combines research, sales analytical and administrative responsibilities, with the goal of increasing quality data which will lead to opportunities for the pipeline. The Sales Data Analyst intern will be based in the Cary, North Carolina office. The information the intern gathers will provide the sales team with leads for targeted accounts and helping add that data to the system. This is a part time role that will be 10 20 hours per week, reporting to the Director of Sales Development. The Sales Data Analyst intern will utilize the CRM, direction from the sales team, and other tools to determine the process and who to target.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, & Key Accountabilities:

  • The identification of sales leads, using market research, and commercially available database and communication tools

  • Analyze data for territory growth and maximum market share

  • Analyze regional reporting relevant to territories

  • Assist in maintaining CRM

  • Generate lead reports

  • Understand, gather and analyze competitive information

  • Provide pro-active analyses leading to opportunity identification

  • Ad hoc analysis and dissection of complex data and extraction of key information

  • Interpretation of data to identify and develop trends and their implications

  • Initiate, develop and undertake analyses or projects to move business ahead

  • Provide support and analysis for team business plans

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Some experience compiling and analyzing data and reporting trends, metrics, etc...

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

  • Organizational and time management skills

  • Flexibility to manage a variety of tasks under deadlines

  • Must be able to work within a team and be a team player, collaborative

  • Excellent computer skills including: Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Must demonstrate ability to ascertain knowledge and insight from broad data sets and synthesize data to understandable levels
