The Sales Counselor disseminates information to the public regarding the retirement community; finding and following up on leads, interviewing prospective residents, providing information and selling vacant apartments. As a representative and team member of the company, this position is expected to present oneself in a manner that reflects professionalism and ensures resident satisfaction.
Work Duties
Searches out qualified leads from a variety of sources.
Shows apartments and the retirement community to prospective residents, guests and others.
Receives calls and inquiries from prospective residents, their families and their advisors; provides information, answers questions, overcomes objections and closes sales.
Interviews and reviews records for approval of prospective residents; paperwork includes applications, contracts, financial reports, lead tracking and sales reports.
Reviews levels of care needed by prospective residents with both the prospect, with the department and with other departments of the retirement community.
Prepares and reviews occupancy and sales reports.
Initiates and maintains contact with prospective residents, referral sources and others.
Supports marketing events as required.
Contributes to the planning, research and writing of the community's marketing plans.
May supervise or act as move-in coordinator, facilitating the move-in process for new residents and writing work orders for apartments as necessary.
Attends in-service training and meetings as required.
Provides effective and courteous service to all residents, guests and co-workers.
Promotes and protects the rights of each resident.
Performs various related essential duties as may be required by the Director of Marketing and Sales or by the corporate office.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education -
Experience/Training -
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
First Aid and CPR certification through the American Red Cross
Valid driver's license
Pay Range: $24.50-$33.50 DOE + up to 50% of annual salary in commissions
