Job Summary

Perform general office duties to support Sales & Marketing department (e.g., filing, sending emails, typing, faxing, copying). Specifically supporting the Luxury Travel Agents market. Prepare sales-related documents throughout the sales process (e.g., proposals, contracts, or banquet event orders). Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally.

Gather materials and assemble information packages (e.g., brochures, promotional materials). Use sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to Marriott. Enter, retrieve, reconcile, and verify information (e.g., commissions, leads, third parties) in software involved in the sales process. Answer guest questions about property facilities/services (e.g., hours of operation, rates and room types, packages, promotions, entertainment, restaurants, special events). Serve as the point of contact for clients and communicate with them by phone and email to respond to questions and requests.

Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; thank guests with genuine appreciation.

Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

About the Role: G/O Media is seeking Sales Coordinators for our New York, Los Angles and Chicago offices. Our Sales Coordinators should have a passion for digital media and be looking to work closely with a team of dynamic sellers. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Support and collaborate with multiple sellers on various projects including client proposals, proactive presentations and projects * Work closely with the sales team to provide pre and post-sales support * Manage sales & marketing materials for media kits, presentations, and proposals * Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities * Research competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share and pricing * Help coordinate client events * Interest in learning about digital advertising ranging from display, video, custom content and programmatic * Work cross functionally with sellers, ad operations, marketing and content teams Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in marketing, advertising or business equivalent * Ability to multitask * Must work well both independently and as part of a team * Self-motivated and quick learner in a fast-paced position * Experience with Keynote, PowerPoint, Word and Excel and the ability to learn G/O Media tools * Ability to pick up and learn new technologies G/O Media is deeply committed to fostering a transparently inclusive workplace environment and people of color, women, people with disabilities, veterans, and LGBTQ candidates are very strongly encouraged to apply.
