Job Summary

Perform general office duties to support Sales & Marketing (e.g., filing, sending emails, typing, faxing, copying). Prepare sales-related documents throughout the sales process (e.g., proposals, contracts, or banquet event orders). Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally. Gather materials and assemble information packages (e.g., brochures, promotional materials). Use sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to Marriott.

Enter, retrieve, reconcile, and verify information (e.g., commissions, leads, third parties) in software involved in the sales process. Answer guest questions about property facilities/services (e.g., hours of operation, rates and room types, packages, promotions, entertainment, restaurants, special events). Serve as the point of contact for clients and communicate with them by phone and email to respond to questions and requests.

Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; thank guests with genuine appreciation.

Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director of Sales, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: * Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service both to internal and external customers * Ensure prompt and courteous service is extended to both internal and external customers * Prioritize all telephone calls and in-person visitors, scheduling appointments and working with sales team on-site inspections. * Maintain a positive relationship with all guests, vendors, Colleagues and global sales network * Prepare and disseminate month-end reports for reporting managers * Provide all administration duties for the Sales office to include: expense reports, travel arrangements and monthly activities for reporting Managers. * Work with reporting Managers to send client proposals and prepare hotel contracts. * Assist with the maintenance of accounts, contact, activity and business details within appropriate software applications such as Opera and Outlook * Follow departmental policies and procedures * Follow all safety policies * Other duties as assigned Qualifications: * Previous sales or administrative experience preferred * Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications and/or relevant computer applications required * University/College degree in a related discipline an asset * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required * Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities * Highly responsible & reliable * Ability to focus attention on guest needs, multi-task in a fast pace environment while remaining calm and courteous at all time Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): * Frequent sitting throughout shift * Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs. * Occasional bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling and walking * Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps Visa Requirements: Must be able to provide or obtain authorization to work in the United States.
