Sales Consultant (Skillbridge)

The ARMOR Initiative DoD SkillBridge Internship is an approved SkillBridge Program under the Department of Defense. SkillBridge period of eligibility is within the final 180 days of Active Duty service, and the SkillBridge must be completed prior to separation from Active Duty in the U.S. Armed Forces. ARMOR Initiative SkillBridge is open to members of all services, and all ranks and experience levels. Service members should fully review SkillBridge Position Description for individual opportunity requirements and qualifications.SkillBridge participants participate in full-time training with industry (40-hour work week) under military orders and are not eligible for compensation from ARMOR Initiative or its partner host employers but will continue to receive all military wages and benefits for the period of the DoD SkillBridge enrollment.

We are looking for a Sales Consultant in Gonzales, LA to join our growing team! The right candidate will be ambitious, have excellent interpersonal skills, and have the ability to meet and exceed goals. You'll be greeting guests on the showroom floor and out on the car lot, showing guests various makes & models of vehicles while educating them on features, availability, and pricing, working deals with the customers and utilizing the Sales Managers as needed, following the dealership' and legal sales processes, etc. Experience is a plus but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit consultative selling skills. Assist customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses
• Continuously develop product and sales acumen to become the vehicle authority. Know the in’s and the out’s of product offerings, optional packages, and the latest technologies
• Perform high-quality, professional demonstrations of new/used vehicles
• Follow-up with buyers to ensure successful referral business
• Learn to overcome objections and thrive within sales situations
• Report directly to the Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analyses

Requirements

• Proven experience in sales or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Knowledge of the automotive industry and its trends.
• Goal-oriented mindset and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Exceptional negotiation and closing skills.
• Proficient computer skills and experience using sales software
