Sales Commission Analyst - Unifirst

This position will support the Commission Department and report to the Sales Commission Supervisor. The ideal candidate will be very organized with an analytical mindset and attention to detail. Strong Excel knowledge along with the ability to multi-task. This position will research, verify, and validate that all sales credit and commission payout comply with Corporate Policy and Compensation Plans.

  • Review sales commissions for accuracy and compliance to Corporate Policy and Compensation Plans

  • Work directly with Sales Managers and/or Location Managers to resolve any issues

  • Analyze credit and commission data on a weekly basis to provide forecast models and various reports

  • Calculate qualifying sales for monthly commission payout

  • Meet deadlines in timely manner

  • Perform account reconciliations as needed

  • Ensure all supporting backup is verified to accurately payout commissions

  • Utilize multiple databases to ensure accuracy of commissions

  • Respond to sales inquiries in a timely manner

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Organized, strong follow up skills

  • Able to work independently and exercise discretion

  • Attention to detail

  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Strong Microsoft Excel abilities (pivot table, vlookups)

  • Familiarity with the AS/400 system is a plus

  • Accounting background a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • Able to multi-task while meeting deadlines.

  • Must be accurate with numbers.

  • Work independently and exercise discretion.

This job will work closely with financial management and is responsible for analyzing, reviewing and interpreting relevant financial, performance and comparative data. This individual will work as part of a group tasked with providing timely and value added financial support to all business leaders and functions, including operations, sales and service; to analyze, interpret, and communicate relevant financial and business trends, providing sound recommendations to senior management to drive business performance, including the identification of potential risks and opportunities. Responsibilities: The successful candidate must be able to perform all of the following duties and responsibilities with or without a reasonable accommodation. * Analyze monthly financial results and investigate significant or unusual items. * Identify and communicate issues, opportunities and/or risks. * Maintain and update annual forecast and communicate changes and trends to financial management. * Work with regional management to develop financial reporting, the expected result of which is the basis of decision-making to run the Company. * Participate in the production of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual regional financial reports. * Support existing, new and ad hoc reporting requests. * Learn the nuances of the business to more thoroughly understand the financial results. * Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts. * Independently, or cooperatively with appropriate management, prioritize and effectively accomplish multiple tasks within established time frames. * Analyze data to identify issues, opportunities and/or risks and determine the appropriate course of action.
