SUMMARY:

The following is a brief description of responsibilities to be performed by the Sales Audit Specialist. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Audit daily sales transactions for accuracy.

  • Reconcile daily/monthly sales activity for stores including cash deposits, change orders, gift cards, store issued gift cards and credit cards.

  • Monitor/audit store over/shorts.

  • Work with Loss Prevention on identifying high-risk areas to create and implement controls.

  • Monitor compliance to policies and procedures.

  • Respond to Call Center tickets.

  • Process sales audit requests provided by Store Operations and Ecommerce Customer Service.

  • Assist in closing of sales for month-end posting to General Ledger.

  • Reconcile monthly GL Accounts as assigned

  • Prepare monthly journal entries as assigned

  • Update/ record daily banking activity for all bank accounts

  • Prepare daily cash flow analysis

  • Handle daily bank exceptions for the Accounts Payable and Payroll bank accounts.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge

  • Evaluate current methods and suggest alternatives and/or improvement when applicable.

  • Working knowledge of corporate retail environment.

  • Ability to reprioritize projects frequently.

  • Must have ability to multitask.

  • Must lead by example.

  • Must be punctual and work planned schedule.

  • Must maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.

  • Volunteers willingly for additional responsibilities.

  • Remain open and adaptable to change and new challenges for growth.

  • Maintains exemplary degree of professionalism with all company employees.

  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and use basic problem solving skills.

  • Proficient in use of Excel, MS Access, MS Word, and other MS Office software.

  • Able to effectively utilize basic office equipment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Business preferred equivalent work experience ok.

  • High School Diploma required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication ability

  • Proficient in English

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Ability to remain flexible, re-prioritize, and respond to changing demands

  • Able to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and management

  • Independent, self-motivated team player.
