You Will:

The Sales Associate is responsible for providing a wide variety of field sales support within an assigned geography while developing to become a sales specialist. This individual is responsible for coordinating (transporting, setting up and reassembling) surgical instrument sets, giving intraoperative support to surgical staff during procedures and pursuing business development activities to create new revenue opportunities for sales territories.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide coordination and logistic support in properly ordering, transporting, setting up and reassembling surgical instrument sets inside sterile processing departments at hospitals and surgery centers.

  • Act as a product support consultant to surgeons and operating room staff during surgical procedures in the safe and proper use of NuVasive products and related surgical techniques.

  • Support and contribute to the growth of revenues in assigned Sales Specialists territories through delegated business development activities with surgeons, hospitals and related staff.

  • Develop the required technical, clinical and sales competencies through the completion of the sales associate development program in order to qualify and meet the expectations of becoming a Sales Specialist within 18-24 months.

  • Work extended, off normal work hours with flexibility in being able to adjust personal schedule

Basic Qualifications

  • Associates degree

  • 2+ years in general business to business sale

  • Provide after hours and weekend case support, as necessary

  • Proactive mindset with the dexterity to quickly make sense of complex issues while managing multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Highly organized with capacity to prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment

  • Strong ability to manage and capture details quickly with appropriate follow through.

  • Aptitude to handle rejection and eliminate roadblocks; rarely gives up and tries different approaches when the first solution doesn't work

  • Excellent communication, analytical, verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to empathize appropriately with others

  • Competency to learn and effectively articulate technical product knowledge and medical terminology in discussions with customers

  • Have a high degree of flexibility and ability to collaborate effectively with others

  • Knowledge of utilizing computers/tablets with familiarity in using customer relationship management tools and the Microsoft suite of products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1+ year in medical device sales

Preferred Attributes

  • Ability to relocate upon completion of sales development program within 18-24 months.

  • Have a science and/or technical background or aptitude

  • Ability to travel as necessary, which may include overnights and/or weekends

The Services Sales Manager is also a "Key Carrier" and will be considered the Leader on Duty in the absence of other management. The Services Sales Manager assists with the merchandising, operations and execution of store and company standards in addition to resolving both associate and customer relations' concerns. He/she will proactively engage with customers to exceed their needs and work to generate revenue by driving a sales culture. Quickly builds ongoing customer/client relationships and becomes a trusted advisor. Partners with General Manager to execute on new business-related services and product launches and develop strategies to improve conversion and Average Order Value (AOV). Is as a Change Champion, supporting and initiating change. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or another related field preferred Minimum two years of experience in retail, including management and/or supervisory in a sales driven, customer-oriented company. Sales experience in a services industry a plus. Other Information: Leads, coaches and inspires associates, while fostering a culture that builds trust, brand loyalty and exceptional customer/client service delivery. Creates and manages a sales focused environment through the training and development of associates. Accountable for the assessment and development of all services and sales associates, ensuring that all associates have completed and maintain their certification, as applicable (print, tech, etc.) Deliver exceptional customer/client service by observing, listening, interacting and following up with customers to ensure satisfaction and issue resolution. Builds a culture which drive sales through motivating associates to be product experts and customer focused. In the absence of the General Manager, manages inventory/inventory levels, assets and expenses within the store by applying financial controls and routinely reviewing all operational processes including receiving, data entry, cash handling, and payroll control. Will also be responsible for managing merchandise flow-through and replenishment processes. Consistently maintains store appearance to company guidelines and keep in a neat, clean, well-stocked environment. Adhere to all standards related to signage labeling, planogram integrity, and merchandise presentation.
