JOB SUMMARY:

With an upbeat and positive attitude, provides assistance with retail sales and services for all guests.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Welcomes external and internal guests to the retail venues in a friendly, courteous manner.

  • Creates a pleasant atmosphere within the Retail venues for all guests.

  • Maintains a neat, clean and well-stocked Shop/Kiosk.

  • Becomes familiar with all merchandise and inventory in order to provide proper assistance and information to guests.

  • Operates the terminal to accept payment for retail sales in the form of cash, credit cards and complimentaries and balancing the terminal at closing.

  • Maintains a working knowledge of the property's amenities to share with the guests.

  • Ensures proper inventory control by maintaining accurate records of merchandise sold and stock on hand.

  • Upon receipt of new merchandise, checks merchandise in and makes sure all information is accurate on the Distribution Sheets (DDS). Inspects merchandise to make sure it is correctly priced and displayed.

  • Communicates important and relevant information to incoming shift

  • Assists in creating and setting up attractive merchandise displays.

  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous retail and/or customer service experience is highly preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Must be able to perform basic mathematic calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

  • Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

  • Must be able to problem solve and possess the ability to rationalize.

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills have a professional appearance and be a team player.

  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Must be able to work independently.

  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time (minimum of four hours).

  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency while performing tasks and meeting deadlines.

  • Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the casino; from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator.

  • Must be able to lift, carry and/or push a minimum of 40 lbs.

  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, twist, turn, push, pull, grasp objects and the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.

  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, dust, loud noises and bright lights.

  • Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
