The Lode Retail Department is the perfect place to build skills for your future career. While working as a Sales Associate, you will develop valuable skills in customer service and retail operations. This position is responsible for providing friendly, efficient, and courteous service in Sweet Memories gift shop at the Hershey Lodge to achieve the department's goals for the year. This position is available year round and requires a high level of independence.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):
Serve as front-line team member
Provide exceptional guest service within your assigned store location, including entering sales into POS system for a positive checkout experience
Answer guest inquiries, in person and over the phone in a timely manner.
Exhibit thorough product knowledge and upselling techniques to guests
Maintain store appearance standards to ensure the store is stocked and assist in other inventory management tasks as needed
Resolve immediate guest concerns, partnering with lead staff when needed to prevent recurring guest service issues
Identify safety and maintenance related issues and relay these concerns to store leadership to ensure they are addressed
Follow all cash handling procedures in accordance with Resort Revenue Group SOPs
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
One year of retail/customer service experience preferred
Proven guest relations, problem solving, task management skills, and organizational skills preferred
Professional and effective communication skills
Must be able to work independently and within a team environment
Must be able to speak, write, and understand English
Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines
Job Demands:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
Physical requirements include standing (75-100% of the shift), sitting, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 35 lbs with assistance, finger dexterity and communicating effectively
