POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for sales and retention of HDS small group and individual plan markets. Provides administrative support to the Sales & Account Management Department to assist in meeting the strategic mission and goals of the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Main point of contact for small group plans, handles/manages all inquiries from Groups/Brokers/Consultants and internal departments. Assists with small group quotes, follow up on small group proposals, and implement new small group set-up. Establishes relationships with Brokers, Consultants, Customers, and Prospects. Communicates and explain plan benefit information to provide advice and recommendations to groups for the management of their dental plan. Services small group customers on a timely basis (telephonically or electronically). Documents customer information for small groups in Customer Relationship Management tool. Answers the main sales phone line and responsible for department email inbox. Filters and forwards emails from the department inbox to the appropriate Account Executive or Strategic Account Executive, and/or other departments as needed.
Responsible for gathering renewal documents for small and mid-size groups and posting to broker website.
Responsible for preparation of printing and coordinating HDS materials for health fairs and/or open enrollments. Maintains the promo items inventory including advising sales management when to re-order inventory.
Attends open enrollment and/or health fairs and present dental benefit plans, as needed.
Assists Sales team with coordinating and compiling documentation for Request for Proposals (RFP) and IDP renewal.
Responsible for completion and implementation of new Broker packets, setting up/assisting with broker portal inquiries, assisting the Sales Management Team with reports or other administrative duties as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Education
Associate's Degree or High School diploma, or equivalent combination of education, training or working experience.
Experience
Skills and Knowledge
Ability to organize, analyze and problem-solve complex problems.
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize with on-going distractions.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing with all levels of staff, customers, consultants/brokers, and third-party administrators on sensitive matters.
Ability to work with others in a teamwork environment.
Working knowledge of PC (prefer Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
