Harbr is entering a period of rapid growth. We started to build the Harbr Enterprise Data Exchange in 2017. With a solid product in place and a base of enterprise customers, we emerged from stealth in May of 2020. In November, we announced our $38.5m Series A, led by Dawn Capital and Tiger Global. We are expanding our customer base and our team as we enter 2021.

The Enterprise Data Exchange

The Harbr Enterprise Data Exchange enables organizations to share data while maintaining control of their data through entitlements, collaborative analytics environments, and automated data pipelines. Evaluation of data and collaboration capabilities are provided through secure Spaces with access to modern analytics tools. The platform allows consumers to configure automated data pipelines that deliver data in the format required to the location where the data will be accessed. The Harbr platform is delivered as Secure Software as a Service on AWS and GCP today with Azure to follow shortly.

Your Role

Our customers rely on the Sales Architect team to understand how the Harbr Enterprise Data Exchange can help them to expand access to data, enhance collaboration, and increase the value of their data. Sales Architects help customers understand the technologies that power our platform, the broader cloud and technology ecosystems, and how these can be brought together to enable data sharing and collaboration.

The Harbr Sales Architect role is a customer-facing pre-sales role. In this role, you will partner with the Account Executives to engage with customers and close new business. You will be responsible for early-stage demonstrations, customized demonstrations, designing and managing successful proofs-of-concept, and transitioning new customers to the Customer Success team. You will partner with your Customer Success colleagues to drive expansion and usage of the Harbr platform.

Harbr Data sponsors weekly fun activities so that you can get to know your teammates, with participation being encouraged but not mandatory. There are also seasonal activities. And we plan to resume our face to face gatherings once the pandemic subsides.


Role Responsibilities

  • Partner with the sales team to help prospects understand how the Harbr Enterprise Data Exchange can help solve their business challenges.
  • Develop and deliver custom presentations of the Harbr Platform to customers based upon their specific requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership for prospects to understand, evaluate, and ultimately adopt the Harbr Enterprise Data Exchange
  • Understand your strengths, and use them to help your fellow SAs and drive cross-functional relationships across the company.
  • Travel to customers (up to 30%, of which 80%+ local to your region) (Subject to the lifting of COVID related travel restrictions.

We use law, science, and the support of 3.1 million members and online activists to protect the planet's wildlife and wild places and to ensure the rights of all people to clean air, clean water, and healthy communities. NRDC was founded in 1970 and our staff helped write some of America's bedrock environmental laws, including the Clean Water Act, and many of the implementing regulations. Today, our staff of more than 700 lawyers, scientists, economists, policy advocates, communications experts, and others work across the United States and internationally from our offices in New York; Washington, D.C.; Chicago; Santa Monica; San Francisco; Bozeman, Montana; and Beijing. Responsibilities Western Sustainable Energy and Climate Fellow, San Francisco The Fellow will be involved directly in the development of advocacy strategies, collaboration with key stakeholders, and in the preparation of NRDC materials designed to influence equitable public policy decisions. Projects that the Fellow may work on include furthering NRDC's work to ensure California's greenhouse gas reduction, energy efficiency, and renewable energy mandates are implemented effectively and with a focus on equity, quality workforce, & improving air quality in disadvantaged communities. The work will include developing and analyzing policy proposals, writing comments for regulatory agencies, generating and testing proposals and rationales for different audiences, working with coalitions in states, and helping state advocates identify and implement priority tasks. Past projects include helping with the implementation of a multi-state campaign to increase portfolio standards across the West; and assisting with the implementation of California energy efficiency policies as well as decarbonization efforts of the state's transportation and building sectors. For all Fellowships: The Fellow will gain skills in research and analysis, written advocacy, oral advocacy, legislative and/or regulatory processes, and inclusive and equitable policy development. The Fellow will be an integral part of NRDC's team and will gain exposure to a variety of activities including attending policy meetings, working with private sector stakeholders, engaging in joint advocacy with other partners, conducting policy analysis and development, and doing legislative and regulatory research and drafting. Qualifications We particularly encourage candidates whose identities have been historically under-represented in the environmental movement.
