STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS:

Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and/or abilities. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

  • Experience in sales, marketing and/or business development or equivalent experience is desired.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Proven experience in a technical sales role.

  • Strong understanding of technical concepts and ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with customers.

  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on meeting sales targets and driving results.

  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilize your in-depth knowledge of our products or services to effectively communicate their features, functionalities, and benefits to potential clients.

  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and qualify leads, assess customer needs, and develop customized solutions that address specific requirements.

  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations for prospective clients, showcasing how our solutions can solve their business challenges and add value to their operations.

  • Work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements and design solutions that align with their objectives, ensuring a seamless integration of our products or services into their existing systems.

  • Prepare detailed technical proposals, including cost estimates and project timelines, to support the sales team in closing deals and securing new business opportunities.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including engineering teams, project managers, and decision-makers, to ensure customer satisfaction and drive repeat business.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market developments to identify new sales opportunities and position our solutions effectively in the market.

  • Provide feedback to the product development team based on customer interactions and market insights to drive continuous improvement and innovation in our offerings.

  • Prepares proposals and cost estimates in accordance with company guidelines.

  • Contributes to the effectiveness of the sales & business development team, communicating openly, solving problems proactively, offering creative ideas and working as a positive, engaged team member.

  • Compiles and keeps current approved price schedules.

  • Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This is a functional position with no personnel reporting to it.

Approximately 50% travel to customer locations and job sites; 50% Office Environment. Occasional overnight travel required.
