Job Purpose
AH Seihan Planning Department leads the North American sales and production planning organization that spans across multiple regions: AHM/US, CH/Canada, Export/Global and HDM/Mexico. This department is responsible for the monthly, quarterly and annual planning of sales, wholesales, production, and inventory for American Honda while collaborating with other sales divisions (internally and externally) and manufacturing to achieve the company's targets. Planning information is stored in a confidential document called the Ki Plan which is the responsibility of this department to maintain.
The Senior Analyst's main responsibility is to support the Seihan Planning Manager and team on all aspects of the monthly and annual planning for sales, production and inventory for American Honda. This includes but not limited to distributing sales reports, Seihan budget management, scheduling meetings (between Executives, Sales Divisions and Manufacturing) and to provide general support for the monthly Seihan process.
Key Accountabilities
Prepare daily sales report with approved monthly Seihan plan each month. Analyze historical daily sales to determine optimal daily sales pattern for the new month. Gain consensus on daily plan with Seihan Planning Manager and J-staff. Send out to distribution list on a daily basis.
Provide administrative support to Seihan and Logistics departments in the coordination of meeting schedules, conferencing, etc.
Assist with sales reporting on a 10/20-day or month-end basis. Coordinate, prepare and distribute Executive sales report packets on reporting day. Provide miscellaneous support with report data verification to ensure accuracy.
Assist with IS support, office supply ordering, new associate on-boarding, budget control and miscellaneous ad hoc projects.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
BA/BS Degree or equivalent work related experience preferred
1 -3 years of work experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Business Objects is required
General automotive industry knowledge, planning, organizing, communication, analytical and negotiation skills preferred
Strong analytical, communication, people and organizational skills are preferred
