The position of Sales & Operations Planning Leader is within our Toxicology BU Supply Chain located at our Lake Forest, Illinois office. This role will oversee the monthly S&OP process and all enhancements to support the Toxicology business. In the short to medium term, the role will focus on the implementation of a formal monthly process with the POCT business from new product introduction to Executive review encompassing demand and supply reviews.The S&OP Leader will develop the roll out process so that eventually the process includes global laboratory operations, Toxicology service activities, and internal and external suppliers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overall S&OP process owner for Toxicology business unit; defining the sub-processes within S&OP, train, develop and bring to maturity, coordinate and manage of the S&OP cycle

  • Optimize data and information handovers within the S&OP cycle

  • Implementation of S&OP performance metrics and reporting within the organization including primary responsibility for OTIF / Product Availability metric including the interpretation and resolution of backorder reports

  • Coordinator / owner / chair of the BU Executive S&OP meeting including the preparation of the BU slides and associated cascade up the organization structure

  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions and alignment on resolution of supply shortages / issues (coordination of Director and VP leaders across each function)

  • Main voice from Supply team on supply issues and their anticipated resolution to the Commercial / Marketing teams

  • Support Marketing with NPI process management to minimize obsolescence of current materials and the efficient implementation of new items

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor's Degree which could include supply chain, engineering, science, IT or business disciplines
  • 5 or more years of experience in Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or related function, preferably in medical device, pharmaceutical or consumer products

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in planning (ideally both demand and supply planning experience) and broader supply chain

  • Able to successfully manage projects across various functions / businesses

  • Able to retrieve, evaluate and gain insights from large quantities of data

  • Very comfortable with creating high quality presentations and sharing information with senior managers

COMPETENCIES:

The role requires a strong communicator who can build relationships at all levels and must be able to meet deadlines and liaise across functions and regions. It expected the job holder will work with other supply chain groups across the Division such as the Supply Chain Community of Practice.

The S&OP Leader will be analytical with a keen eye for detail, ensuring strong data integrity at all time, with a proactive, energetic attitude and able to react quickly to the changing demands and priorities of the business. The job holder is required to analyze complex processes and determine improvement opportunities to reduce complexity, optimize cost, service levels and compliance.

Installs base data entry and data quality for assigned area. Ensures timely and accurate billing of customers for contract and non-contract services. Essential Responsibilities: * Drive the overall execution of the GEHC customer service contract loading into all applicable processes including additions, deletions, and modifications to existing contracts (e.g., field communications, verification along with contract submission pre-work). * Responsible for timely and accurate billing of customers for contract and non-contract services. * Work within all related systems Legacy and Support Central to manage and complete all work. * Handle all types of work submitted into the department whether multi-vendor or core GE product based offerings. * Maintain install database accuracy by supporting field team and external customers via phone and email. * Work closely with field service sales and service, service marketing, and commercial solutions to resolve technical and process-related issues. * Effectively manage and prioritize various projects with minimal supervision. * Provide support for timely resolution of customer invoicing disputes in coordination with Service Sales and field service teams.
