The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Corporate Headquarters in Milwaukee, WI is the site where the first H-D factory - a wooden shed - was built in 1903 in the backyard of the William C. Davidson family home. Join our team as a Sales and Operations Planning Lead.

Job Summary

The Sales and Operations Planning Lead role is responsible for providing leadership using an influential leadership style with US Product Sales focused on general merchandise. This position will lead teams through the coordination and development of the integrated US retail and wholesale forecasts with relevant stakeholders to maximize revenue growth in the US. It will also interface with cross functional areas of the company to help grow the GM business.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop retail sales, wholesale shipments, dealer inventory and pricing insights

  • Identify risks, issues, and opportunities to the S&OP plan as well as where to make adjustments throughout the year

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (pricing, CIA, DPIM) to validate insights, risks and issues with data (objective)

  • Develop promotion, pricing and placement mitigation plans with internal stakeholders to address risks and issues to the S&OP plan

  • Knowledge and understanding of fundamental concepts, processes, and procedures of current inventory management and supply chain management best practices to perform various analysis and operational activities surrounding forecasting, inventory planning, and replenishment

  • Indirectly lead the CIM team to ensure dealer inventory availability to deliver the short-term retail plan and Lead CI activity for the CIM team

Required

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience

  • Demonstrated experience in supply chain management of forecasting leadership with project management, meeting facilitation and business process development experience

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Proficient in data analysis and ability to analyze data on a problem-to-solution level and make appropriate recommendations

  • Ability to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects

Preferred

  • Experience with change management

  • Motorcycle, Parts & Accessories, General Merchandise and Licensed Product knowledge

Job Summary The Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Analyst position will be responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of the vehicle allocation strategy for the US Dealer Network. Through effective collaboration with the demand teams, the product supply teams, order entry and logistics this role is responsible for ensuring the appropriate product or production is distributed equitably within the US Dealer Network where it is needed to meet retail objectives. This requires careful management of the model level supply plan and the US allocation system. This role will need to communicate and train stakeholders on the vehicle allocation process.
