Sales and Marketing Director New Development in Novato

Through the combination of marketing and sales efforts, the Sales and Marketing Director is responsible for generating and managing leads to qualify prospects and move them through the admission process for the purpose of achieving budgeted occupancy targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for increasing occupancy and achieving sales goals

  • Manage a lead and build great relationships with our referral database

  • Be responsible for touring community and leading prospects through entire sales process by creating trust, building relationships, and overcoming obstacles

  • Create and implement events to draw prospects to the community

  • Participate in community organizations and professional groups to our Community the community of choice

Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years of marketing experience or a sales background (outside sales preferred)

  • A Bachelor degree from an accredited university (or equivalent experience)

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

  • Be organized and diligent in following up with prospects

  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Be mobile and able to perform the physical requirements of the job. Good physical health, verified by a health screening, including a chest x-ray or an intradermal test result not more than 6 months prior or seven (7) days after employment

  • Must pass criminal background check

The Move-In Coordinator is responsible for the smooth transition of a new resident into the community. Additionally, they will be responsible for assisting the Marketing Department in handling all administrative tasks, including organizing events; handling all telephone, walk-in, and inbound mail inquiries; and touring qualifying prospects, as needed. Ensure that all new residents have a smooth transition to their new home. As needed, aid residents and their family members with the adjustment to the Community. * Completely and accurately follow new move in checklist * Prepare all necessary paperwork and build the new resident administrative file. * Create and maintain the Resident Directory Qualifications: * Must have a high school diploma or equivalent * Prefer one year experience working with seniors, preferably in the Senior Housing Industry * Able to safely operate standard household equipment (dishwasher, iron, vacuum, washer, dryer) * Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.) * Able to operate standard office equipment, including fax machine, copier, telephone, etc. * Knowledge of and/or ability to learn the theory and practice of assisted living and dementia care * Able to work with seniors and patiently interact with cognitively impaired individuals * Able to be flexible, adapt and respond to change, make decisions in stressful situations and prioritize tasks and projects About Oakmont: Oakmont Senior Living is a recognized leader in the retirement industry, having planned and developed more than 50 retirement communities in the western United States.
