Job Summary/Position Overview:
The Senior Care Counselor (SCC) serves on the community's leadership team and is responsible for community sales and marketing. The SCC exercises discretion and independent judgment in administering the community's sales and marketing business affairs. The SCC assesses the local market to develop a strategic marketing plan tailored to the particular geographic region in which the community is located. The SCC sells the community by advancing leads through the sales process with the objective of reaching and maintaining budgeted occupancy and revenue goals. The SCC may serve as the sole sales leader in the community or as part of a sales leadership team. The SCC may supervise other members of the sales and marketing team.

Successful sales and marketing efforts
Enhanced revenue due to creative pricing, programs or distinctions
Positive brand reputation in the market place
Excellent staff retention (if applicable)
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Create and implement successful sales and marketing strategy
Strive to meet or exceed targeted occupancy and sales
Manage department budget and coordinate necessary resources
Generate leads and move-ins from targeted referral sources
Build customer focused relationships by advancing the lead through the sales process and gaining customer commitment
Provide marketing and sales leadership and training to all team members in the community and ensures that they understand their responsibility in community sales
Meet regularly with the Executive Director and Sales Partners to provide information, updates, and reports on a timely basis
Supervise sales and marketing staff, including: recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, disciplining and mentoring (if applicable)
Develop a working knowledge of state regulations and ensures compliance through supervising and coaching team members
Attend regular meetings including Stand Up, Department Head Meetings, Town Hall, and other as directed by the Executive Director
Keep abreast of professional developments in the field by reading, attending conferences and training sessions
Involve Corporate Director of Communication in all publications and releases to assure consistency and uniformity of The Arbor Company brand
Significant local travel for sales and marketing opportunities, including external sales commitments and after-hours engagements
Rotating manager on duty obligations during scheduled weekends
Maintain excellent communication and a collaborative and open relationship with the Executive Director, community leadership team and corporate partners
Other, related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred
At least two years' experience in senior living sales with a proven track record of success in growing occupancy, revenue and metrics
Experience managing departmental level budget and staffing obligations
Ability to develop creative and strategic plans that incorporate outreach development and purposeful event planning
Lead management practices that net advancing the sales process to meet occupancy goals
Awareness of issues and trends affecting the industry
Basic knowledge of, and increasing competency with, computer systems, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word and use of a CRM system
Valid driver's license and safe driving record
Compliance with Arbor community-wide job requirements
