Responsible for recognizing revenue according to our revenue recognition guidelines and preparing sales documents (Prime Product invoices, shipping documents, bill of ladings, etc).
Maintain records/files on all customer purchase orders/projects. Input Sales Orders into project management system. Prepare, receive and process vendor purchase orders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Collaborate with Caterpillar and vendors on orders regarding status, schedule, invoicing, receiving, etc.
Manage delivery details and schedules, billing issues and account status with customers
Identify, research, and monitor customer credit issues (ie. credit applications, requests, preliminary notice information, etc)
Manage Caterpillar invoices and maintain Caterpillar required sales reporting data.
Manage use of Dealer Business System (DBS) to reflect accurate inventory, analyze monthly inventory reports, and make recommendations to management on our inventory position relative to our goals.
Manage Prime Product inventory audits
Arrange, schedule, negotiate, and minimize all freight expense from Cat factory, Dealers & packagers through jobsite.
Manage Cat merchandising funds by project to maximize profitability and responsible for annual merchandising audit by Caterpillar
Manage production schedule of all outstanding orders (backlog) to ensure timely revenue recognition and to communicate gap between backlog and budget.
Review and reconcile monthly gross profit statements for department, research cost overruns for validity, and work with accounting to correct problems.
Input monthly accruals to minimize trailing costs and manage monthly accrual reviews with accounting.
Process monthly commissions for sales department and create accurate monthly commission records
Review and Process all Caterpillar and vendor invoices and send to Accounting to be posted.
Work remotely when needed
Analyze and create various statistical, sales, inventory and financial reports, as assigned by management.
Must communicate and work well with Sales Representatives, Project Engineers and other Quinn support Departments and follow Quinn Company values.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Lotus Notes and be capable to be trained and proficient with Company Systems Dealer Business System (DBS), IMACs & ProcureIT. Also, Caterpillar EMOP, DOI, PSIM, Access & Power Net systems
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
