SUMMARY

The Sales Analyst II is responsible for supporting the global sales team with strategic planning andforecasting, internal reporting, quota alignment to long term strategy, and sales process optimization. The Sales Analyst II will collaborate across functions, including with members of the global Sales team (including technical support), Marketing team, Sales Operations team, Business units, Commercial Systems team, and Finance team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in global planning process, with a focus on creating analytics to inform, operationalize, and execute the sales strategy

  • Create collaborative pipeline management techniques utilizing opportunity management tools designed to drive measurable progress toward long term (3 to 5 year) strategies.

  • Assist with routine strategic forecast reports and all related analytics for completion and accuracy. Understand and explain key trends and changes in the business.

  • Build collaborative relationships with internal sales partners. Influence and drive leaders to complete necessary actions on time.

  • Enhance Company's utilization of its CRM systems through mastery of reporting capabilities. Develop strong relationships with Commercial Systems team in order to effectuate change.

  • Prepare sales reports, dashboards and documents for the Sales Team as well as segment leaders and internal partners including Marketing, Product Business Units and Finance, providing proactive and reactive support for requests.

  • Collaborate with global sales operations teams to enhance consistency across regions.

  • Champion a continuous improvement mindset that helps define and implement process improvement opportunities

  • Link common data in disconnected data files to summarize trends and develop actionable sales insights targeted to specific industries.

  • Build dashboards using Power BI or snowflake that pull, sort and link data from various data files, including SalesForce.com, smartsheet, excel, and Siebel.

  • Analyze data with ability to

  • Visualize, discuss, iterate and optimize Ansys account level sales, license, activity reports and other data turning them into key industry insights and opportunity for cross selling

  • Compare and draw insights between external industry data and Ansys specific sales date to derive targeted selling approaches

  • Develop low touch business processes, leveraging Salesforce.com, Smartsheet and other collaborative tools in order to develop, track and scale solutions to multiple customers and their various divisions.

  • Distill and communicate insights onto powerpoint or other presentation formats using, clear and concise language and selectively choosing most relevant supporting data.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education & Years of Experience: Bachelor's degree with 3 years of sales operations including data science/architecture and project management, OR 7 years of relevant experience.

  • Ability to learn new systems quickly

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to distill and operationalize insights across multiple functions

  • Ability to think independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent attention to detail, organization and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent prioritization skills and ability to receive and process multiple requests efficiently

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information at the highest level

  • Experience and mastery in working with Salesforce.com, especially leads and opportunity management.

  • Skilled in Excel, PowerPoint, dashboarding tools (PowerBI/Snowflake etc), and software skills (like SQL, TensorFlow, Python) for building algorithms to draw out conclusions and drive actionable progress

SUMMARY The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing analytical support to the Channel FP&A team. Aggregate large, complex data and design analytical report to drive insights into business performance. Assist in the development of Channel P&L reporting, KPI tracking, variance analysis and forecasting. RESPONSIBILITIES Financial Management * Assist in the design of a full end-to-end financial and operational reporting and forecasting process for the Channel team. * Assist in the annual budget cycle and monthly/quarter forecasts. * Reconcile and improve data quality. Document current reporting and practices. * Implement improved financial reporting processes and drive streamlining and simplification. * Deliver granular reporting and analyses on weekly/monthly/quarterly cadence. * Analyze financial results and communicate business insights to Channel Sales and FP&A leadership. * Ensure timely and accurate work product; meet or exceed established service levels. Business Partnering * Be a visible, collaborative, accessible leader within the Finance organization. * Facilitate finance optimization efforts; develop, standardize, maintain, and drive continuous improvement of all planning and forecasting processes. * Serve as the trusted Finance advisor for Sales and FP&A leadership. Assess risks and opportunities versus annual company targets. Drive strategies to maximize financial opportunities and collaborate to design initiatives to mitigate risks and close gaps. Evaluate forecast outputs to optimize future results. * Ensure financial results are standardized, impactful, and understandable for Sales, Finance, and general management audiences. * Participate in appropriate training to enable the adoption of new processes, tools, and models. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a quantitative discipline. * Advanced degree or professional qualification such as MBA, CFA is a plus. * A minimum of 3 years of core FP&A experience - forecasting, planning, and business partnering. * Demonstrated excellence in business analytics and tools. * Demonstrated adoption of modern tools for business analytics, such as planning systems (Oracle EPM Cloud Planning), data analysis (Alteryx), and visualization/dashboard (Power BI) tools. * Experience with excel through creating custom financial reporting models for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc requests, including but not limited to variance and trend analysis, chart creations, and presentation tables. * Ability to effectively handle multiple projects concurrently and independently while still meeting deadlines and commitments. * Attention to details and accuracy. * Knowledge of the Software industry is a plus CULTURE AND VALUES Culture and values are incredibly important to Ansys.
