The Sales Analyst is accountable for developing and executing a local sales plan which is complementary to the business unit sales plan targeting smaller/local customers or unique opportunities resulting in reduced open capacity at the plant and increased utilization levels across all plant product offerings. The role must understand the opportunities in the market, Amcor's internal stock mold strategy and capabilities, and the operational capabilities of the plant (including available capacity, production schedules, etc.). The position will report to the Segment Vice President and will require strong coordination with both the plant leadership and Marketing and Operations Planning organizations. The role requires the ability to aggressively identify, engage and close new volume on a quarter by quarter basis and rapid execution is critical to success. Overall success will be measured by the reduction of open capacity and the incremental margin / profitability driven by the local sales strategy.Essential Responsibilities and Duties: * Understand plant production capability, open capacity and incremental sales opportunities - focus the local sales efforts on high value and efficient product lines * Develop local market plans based on plant production ability/unique opportunities * Establish relationships with potential customers within the defined territory * Within target customers, identify key decision makers and influencers beyond purchasing (total enterprise) and develop appropriate relationships to drive growth * Assess account opportunities, account trends and define aspirations * Set product pricing based on following principles: stock or standard products - utilize preestablished pricing parameters agreed with BU Commercial Finance groups; non-stock products - engage BU Commercial Finance functions to obtain quick guidance * Aggressively execute quarterly sales plans to increase utilization and drive incremental profitability * Work with Plant Manager/Sales Director to engage more complex business opportunities * Communicate business wins and customer requirements to key stakeholders and help ensure that customer deliverables are met * Coordinate information flow and action planning with relevant functions (cross-functional team coordination)* Responsible for forecasting, Accounts Receivable, and daily business needs
