Position Overview: The Southern California Edison Commercial Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant 2 (LAA2) will be responsible for providing day to day support to three senior attorneys with respective areas of expertise and a team of Commercial Litigation professionals. In addition, this position has responsibility for assisting with various tasks in Claims Litigation and assisting SCE Litigation Clerk with overflow including calendaring in Compulaw. This role will be a first responder to customer related inquiries or complaints through social media forums as the customers preferred channel. This position will require an individual who is willing to work either a rotating schedule which could include weekends and evenings as part of a regular shift. In addition to the critical work via social channels, this position will also be responsible for responding to customer feedback through our Voice of the Customer program which identifies customer experiences that require additional customer care or follow-up Typical Responsibilities Include: * Create and maintain a safety conscious work environment. * Maintains calendars and docket; scheduling meetings, travel, depositions, and court appearances; answering phones, taking messages, and screening calls; sorting, prioritizing, routing mail, maintaining confidential files and preparing expense reports. * Heavy typing, editing and formatting of medium to high volume documents, such as preparing litigation filings, briefs, pleadings, Table of Authorities, Table of Contents, production, discovery, jury instructions, trial documents and finalizing for transmitting to the courts, commissions, or other governmental agencies. * Determines the appropriate handling of confidential and sensitive information when the attorney is not available. * Provides information and recommendations which could influence decision having moderate corporate and departmental impact. * Makes adjustment to schedules as deemed appropriate. * Work in a team environment and under pressure; exercise discretion and judgement handling highly confidential and/or non-public information. * Perform other responsibilities, duties and projects as assigned by manager and/or attorney(s). Easily adapt to quickly changing priorities. Minimum Requirements: Minimum Requirements: * Must type a minimum of 50-words per minute. * Three years of legal secretarial experience or five years' experience supporting a legal function. * Litigation experience dealing with current federal and state court rules and knowledge of court rules. * Proficient knowledge of personal computer software, on-line applications, office equipment, Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, OneDrive, Adobe Pro, Skype for Business or other related technology systems * CompuLaw (calendaring system), E-Filings and CourtCall (Telephonic Court Appearance. Desired Qualifications: * Experience with TeamConnect Legal (matter management system). * Excellent oral and written communication skills and a thorough knowledge and use of proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. * Demonstrated experience in project scheduling, tracking and prioritization with strong organization skills and attention to detail. * Legal Secretary Certificate or Paralegal Certificate and/or post-high school education preferred.
