Role Summary

Responsible for the generation of sales in assigned areas and providing a communication link between the customer, outside sales, and the company, such that the customer receives the full benefit of company products and services. Coordinates all aspects of customer interaction - revenue generating and non-revenue activities - maximizing sales and providing support to outside sales and management to increase market share, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

  • Responsible for executing selling activities to reach objectives established for their territory. Provides input on strategic initiatives to increase sales and customer experience.

  • Ownership of assigned territory, individually and/or with the partnership of an Outside Sales rep with the flexibility to create their business plan.

  • Responsible for enhancing coverage in the assigned territories and stores, driving sales growth, and covering open territories.

  • Responsible for making outbound calls/emails to sales solicitation, managing administrative activities, credits/XP/RP process support, facilitating service, managing escalated issues, order tracking, delinquent customer service, and exceeding customers' expectations.

  • Conduct proactive selling activities - virtual and field training classes, virtual ride-along, blueprint takeoffs and quoting using Pref and/or future quoting tools, follow-up, lead generation, qualifying, call blitz support, surge work, etc.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of selling processes, product features/benefits/advantages, and systems.

  • Utilizes CRM/Salesforce to maintain records of important communications and transactions.

  • Manage partnerships and strengthen relationships with customer leadership at the store/district/regional level.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of all current products manufactured by the company.

  • Understands comprehensive product specifications to communicate effectively and accurately with customers.

  • Maintains detailed, precise records of all communications and transactions with customers to ensure a reliable audit trail.

  • Works closely with many different departments to ensure proper communication is relayed to both internal and external customers. This position is a key communication link between the company, outside sales, and customers.

  • Responsible for accurately portraying the company brand and product offerings.

  • Responsible for answering customer questions and resolving customer concerns promptly to maximize customer satisfaction with company business guidelines.

  • Assists with the training of new personnel as added to the department.

  • This position may be involved in research activities surveys, comparison bids, and other forms of market analysis. As such, will be relied upon to provide suggestions based on market knowledge and give feedback to the corporation on the effectiveness of initiatives.

  • This position requires a self-starter who works effectively and productively with minimal supervision.

  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

  • Participates in various departmental and interdepartmental meetings or training as required.

  • Informs customers of business changes such as product offering, pricing, or assembly options in a timely manner.

Education & Training

  • Associates (AA) or 2-year degree; 4-year degree preferred, or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Prior knowledge of general construction applications and terminology and/or window and door applications or components is desirable.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, clients, or employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams. PQM, M20, Bluebeam, and Oracle experience beneficial but not required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Driver's license.
