What Account Management - Med Prod contributes to Cardinal Health

Account Management is responsible for managing the success of the relationship with an assigned set of customers in order to achieve the goals and objectives identified by the customer and Cardinal Health. Responsible for long-term relationship building between the customer, Cardinal Health, and other professional organizations (Group Purchasing Organizations, etc). The complexity of the solution, product, or services offered is variable and can range from simple to moderately complex selling.


This position falls under the Edgepark Medical sector of the Cardinal Health at Home business division. It is a great fit for someone with a few years of outside sales/healthcare sales experience, ready to advance their career.

  • Implement previous inside and/or outside sales experience and territory management abilities

  • Manage a multi-state territory of wound centers

  • Implement any past experience in Medical sales

  • Travel as needed to wound centers to meet with nurses onsite

  • Develop and maintain relationships with wound care nurses so that they refer their patients to Edgepark Medical for their wound care medical supply needs (can be considered HCP referral sales)

  • Existing account management duties such as touch-point maintenance and follow-up

  • New business development: call on all wound centers within your territory that Edgepark has identified as a potential customer to target

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the passion to excel in a high-energy, sales-driven environment


  • Bachelors degree required

  • Min 2-3 years of related outside sales experience required

  • Medical sales experience preferred

  • Ability to travel more than 50% of time

  • Proven product knowledge in business area

  • Valid driver's license
