Are you a highly motivated individual with good communication skills looking to be a part of a growing company? LaForce, Inc. is looking for a Sales Representative to join our team! LaForce, Inc. is a leader in the door, frame and hardware industry servicing the growing field of commercial construction.

We are adding a Sales Representative to sell commercial building products on the Aftermarket side of our business. The primary role of this position is to sell LaForce manufacturer/distributor products to business, institutional, and industrial establishments.

Major Responsibilities

  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.

  • Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, meets with customers at their place of business or at the LaForce office, or talks with customers by phone.

  • Displays or demonstrates products, using samples or catalogs, and emphasizes salable features.

  • Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.

  • Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on experience, commitments from department processors, vendors, and knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.

  • Follow up on quotes to customers to determine if and or when the quote/project will proceed into an order.

  • Communicate with inside sales/support staff on a daily basis on status of quotes, orders, issues, or customer service questions from customer.

  • Reviews paper work, quotes, and orders that are compiled and/or completed by inside sales/support person.

  • Attends trade show.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

  • Drug Screen, background, and driver's license check and employment verification

Your responsibilities: * Develops andexecutes sales plans utilizing Airgas' sales directives and guidelines in orderto service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts.Qualifies and pursues sales leads. * Cultivatescustomer relationships by developing a deep knowledge of the customer'sbusiness and establishing a consultative relationship. * Engagescustomers by linking the customer's business priorities to the Airgas valueproposition. * Prepares salesproposals by quoting pricing, establishing credit terms, and estimated date ofdelivery to customer based on knowledge of Airgas' production/deliveryschedules and logistics. * Keeps currentwith industry insights, current Airgas product mixes, monitors competition bygathering current relevant marketplace intelligence including information onpricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandisingtechniques. * Partners withinternal resources to accomplish growth objectives. Establishes and maintainsclear and consistent lines of communication with internal departments relativeto customer successes, customer opportunities, new customer developments andother customer specific information. * Maintains andsubmits sales reports (daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly andannual territory analyses) as required by District Manager through SAP. * Activelyreviews and manages existing customer Accounts Receivable balances to helpminimize Airgas working capital investment and financial risk. * The above jobfunctions are illustrative of the duties and responsibilities associated withthis position and are not intended to be all inclusive. Employee may perform otherrelated duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization. What you will need: * Bachelor'sdegree in a science, business or related degree field required. In lieu ofdegree, consideration for up to 4 years of additional related experience may beaccepted. * Minimum of 3years of prior outside business-to-business sales experience to include provenexperience and success in solution-selling concepts and a demonstrated historyof managing customers throughout a defined sales territory * Familiaritywith industrial and specialty gases, industrial gas / welding supply sales aplus. * Proven successusing a consultative sales approach providing multiple layers of value toa customer to establish a mix sales solutions and products * Proven successof using their deep knowledge of customer's business, current macro- andmicroeconomic trends, industry trends, and potential new businessopportunities. * Workingknowledge of SAP is a plus. * Must haveexcellent organizational, written and oral communication, listening andpresentation skills. * Self-starter;self-motivated, operates with a sense of urgency; ability to work and succeedindependently. * Reliabletransportation, current driver's license, minimum liability insurance asrequired by state of vehicle registration. * Frequent localand regional travel (50-60% of work time); minimal overnight travel. * Lives by Airgassafety programs, OSHA, and all related rules, regulations, procedures which areapplicable to this position's responsibilities.
