Tracer Diagnostics a division of NCS Multistage is seeking an Account Manager to join a sales team positioned for rapid growth. The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge of hydraulic fracturing and/or reservoir experience with project management skills. Candidate must have the ability to understand the client and manage their projects successfully through the various phases.

Overall responsibility

Responsible for account penetration within assigned territory by building and maintaining relationships with existing clients and developing new client contracts. Is the main point of contact for clients and provides before and after sales advice and leadership.

Key areas of responsibility

50% - Business Development

50% - Project Management

  • Promotes / sells / secures leads from existing and prospective customers through relationship -based approach managing personal time and productivity

  • Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships

  • Demonstrates products and services to existing/potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs

  • Make telephone calls and in-person site visits and presentation to existing and prospective customers

  • Calculate client quotations, negotiating and tendering contract terms and conditions that meet both customer and company requirements

  • Provides pre-sale technical assistance, product education and post-sale support services

  • Job tasks require frequent interchange and communication between field operations and lab personnel for sample status and results

  • Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and potential for new services

  • Coordinate sales efforts with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups

  • Supports the design of reporting methods for the client

  • Aids in tracer analysis for all radioactive related services

  • Aids in development of Waterflood type tracer services


  • BS degree (Engineering Degree preferred) in related field or 10+ years of oil field related sales experience

  • Self-starter with an ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Strong customer focus and ability to relate well to others, internally and externally

  • Ability to communicate effectively with client representatives and STS management

  • Strong ability to generate, analyze and interpret sales related data and reporting

  • FLSA Status: Exempt

  • Position is regionally based, 24/7 customer call

  • Some travel will be required

  • Will be required to attend jobs on customer locations at times
