The AmeriCorps Financial Literacy Coach will be responsible for developing and delivering a financial literacy curriculum in collaboration with the Program Director and community partners. The Financial Literacy Coach is responsible for assisting clients in developing plans that help them reach their goals and achieve financial stability with a focus on homeownership.
Coaches will provide financial literacy, financial planning, budgeting, saving, and other financial counseling education in 1:1 and group settings. Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.
Member Duties : Conduct community outreach and recruitment of new clients in collaboration with other AmeriCorps members to financial literacy and planning services and programs. Provide information to potential community partners on the program.
Assist clients in assessing and resolving current financial challenges, develop plans of action to help clients build credit and net assets including budgets and savings. Provide tools, resources, and promote accountability to clients to help them meet their goals. Support clients in signing up for low-cost checking and savings accounts.
Provide weekly reports for AmeriCorps. Maintain accurate records of financial assistance provided to participants and their progress with goals. Tracks and enter relevant data on a timely basis and maintain complete and organized client files. This may include entry into electronic data tracking programs as well as case notes within client files.
