JOB DESCRIPTION:

SAIC is currently looking for information technology professionals who are interested in supporting the Air Force National Capital Region Information Technology Services (AF NCR ITS) as technical, logistics, and subject matter experts (SMEs).

The AF NCR ITS Team will provide professional, administrative, technical, logistics, and management support for the U.S. Air Force's 844th Communications Group (844 CG) as the service provider to the Air Force District of Washington AFDW. For the AFDW and Air Force units throughout the NCR, the 844 CG mission includes supporting and providing input for accomplishing the programming, budgeting, financing, implementation, operations, support, and maintenance of assigned technology systems, including critical support for the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force and elements of the Headquarters, U.S. Air Force. Support requires work to have work performed at Joint Base Andrews (Andrews AFB) in Maryland.

The overarching objectives of the AF NCR ITS are to:

  • Provide high-quality IT services to Air Force activities in the National Capital Region.

  • Provide the IT capabilities necessary for customers to perform their operational mission.

  • Reduce the cost of services provided throughout the contract period of performance through efficiencies, to better service the customer base.

Execution of ITS for the AF in the NCR will be done in partnership with Government work centers, with strategic and daily operational priorities set by the associated Government Service Owner (GSO). The GSOs in the 844 CG (or its subordinate squadrons) are accountable, regardless of where the technology components, processes or professional capabilities reside. This includes the synchronization of resources that support the ITS including resources that are located out of the 844 CG's organizational control.

SAIC will assist the GSO in fulfilling:

  • Mission partner requirements

  • Operational requirements related to Exercises, Continuity of Operations (COOP), and training

  • Command and control requirements for both normal operations and when on heightened alert

  • Situational Awareness requirements for required stakeholders

  • Auditing requirements, both financial and for Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance

  • Any required information sharing interface points

The SAIC team will provide support for:

Location: The primary work location will be the Joint Base Andrews, Temple Hills, MD with some positions working in the Pentagon, Arlington, VA. In addition, there are support locations throughout the NCR and some travel may be required to other locations within the United States.

Manage and integrate activities in accordance with contract requirements and ensure technical, schedule, cost, and financial performance. Define or contribute to the program baseline then execute the program to comply with baseline requirements. Manage risk, customer relationships, and program staffing. Ensure compliance with quality standards and escalate challenges to SAIC leadership. Support business development and program staff management. (It should be understood that this is not intended to be a detailed nor comprehensive description of any individual employee's job content. Managers set the specific duties and responsibilities for each employee). PROGRAM EXECUTION: Manages performance requirements to the program baseline. Identifies and analyzes minor variances, and recommends corrective actions to Program Oversight.Responsible for a task or project when it is part of a larger program reporting to another PM; or responsible for overall execution as the sole PM for a Category 4 program(s) with domestic funding. Manages a small size program staff that may include a few subcontractors or suppliers. Conducts management and contract discussions in coordination with internal cross-functional team. Uses standard, well-defined processes, procedures, techniques, or tools. INDEPENDENCE: Routinely reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall quality and content by Program Oversight. Primary customer interface for technical matters, information sharing, and basic problem resolution. PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT OF PROGRAM STAFF: Possesses developing leadership and management skills that require mentoring and feedback from supervisors. Qualifications TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience; Masters and four (4) years or more experience. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: * Candidate must possess and be able to maintain a SECRET QUALIFICATIONS: * The CRM shall serve as the primary liaison between the customer and the provider for complaint management and resolution. * The CRM shall log and follow up on every issue ensuring satisfaction to the maximum extent possible; the customer complaint log shall be delivered to the COR monthly. * The CRM shall have the knowledge, management capabilities, experience, decision making, and customer service skills to ensure a positive and continued relationships. * The CRM shall be knowledgeable of all customers and the services provided by the 844th Communications Group through the development and sustainment of a customer support matrix, which shall be delivered to the COR monthly. * CRM duties include but not limited to leading and motivating personnel to ensure they're giving the best customer service possible, handling customer complaints and queries, and ensuring staff is up to date on best practices that will ensure customer satisfaction. * The CRM shall possess and maintain a Secret clearance, excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent problem solving and analytical skills, excellent customer service skills and decision making abilities, excellent time management and relationship skills, ability to multitask and effectively manage multiple priorities, ability to represent the 844th in a positive, confident and professional manner. * The CRM shall have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience, and a minimum of 7 years of customer relations management related experience. * A CRM shall be on site 0600-1800, Monday through Friday, and available 24/7/365 within 2 hours to meet with the COR on site * Helpdesk and Issue Escalation.
