Amazon's Workplace Health and Safety team leads cross-functional projects that require collaboration and partnership with Amazon businesses, geographical units and technical subject matter experts (SMEs). We partner with teams to inspire bold thinking, iterate on ideas, and deliver the solutions that will make Amazon the safest workplace on earth. The purpose of communication is to engage with operations, tech, engineering and other potential partners as a means to create pathways for future partnerships to incubate tomorrow's solutions today. The goal of the Innovation and Engagement Training is to provide a steady drumbeat of initiatives that continually reduce risks, improve network communications, enhance reporting and build the safety capability of our various stakeholders, worldwide. We rely heavily on influence over authority to drive project deliverables; therefore, clear, concise and inspiring communication is key.

We are seeking a multimedia illustrator who will be responsible for operating multimedia-imaging equipment and software in order to produce visual displays and documents. You will produce graphic artwork that is used in publications, signs, charts, posters, training and video productions.

Responsibilities

  • Turning concepts into graphic elements, distilling technical documents into simple visual elements to aid in producing multimedia and brand development.

  • Create illustrations for use in a variety of products - videos, posters, newsletters, icons, logos, web & mobile elements.

  • Creating illustrations using the following techniques, stylized/cartoons, pattern-making, Creating die lines, Working with color separations, Graphic design, Color theory.

  • discussing client needs and identifying a target audience for the work

  • agreeing on the brief and contract with the client

  • developing visual ideas that suit the brief

  • seeking client approval for ideas with rough visuals - using drawing, sketching, story boarding, painting and photographic skills to produce illustrations/cartoons.

  • 4+ years of industry experience in graphics and visual design.

  • Understanding of HTML and CSS coding, as well as responsive web design on both desktop and mobile platforms

  • Experience in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator and Acrobat using macOS.

  • Extensive knowledge of Graphic Design, Print Design/Layout, Web Design and Development, with experience in design/development for both mobile and desktop applications.

  • Ability to drive the design process by independently defining requirements, scoping projects and prioritizing tasks.

  • Demonstrated strong visual design expertise with ability to produce fresh, simple, elegant and exceedingly usable layouts and interactions and iconography

  • Bachelor's degree in design/relevant disciplines or equivalent work experience.

  • Previous work in marketing with multi-touch point design

  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

  • High proficiency in design and prototype tools and command of technologies (web, Android, iOS, etc.)

Learn more about this agency Responsibilities Provide technical support for all safety and health inspection/investigation activities to include citation processing, case file maintenance, inspection data entry, abatement's, post-citation processes, and final case file disposition. Provide assistance in preparing for opening and closing conferences. Central point of contact on matters pertaining to OSHA programs. Manages the office's un-programmed activity (UPA) intake process and provides technical support for processing, case file maintenance, data entry and final disposition of UPA files. Maintains inspection case files according to records management directives to include archiving and destruction. Generates & utilizes OIS reports to monitor program. Assists technical staff/management, with office and field aspects of enforcement and compliance assistance activities including inspections, air and noise monitoring, outreach activities, training, Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) evaluations, and other field activities. Assists in the development and review of compliance and inspection related statistical data and narrative information. Interprets and develop reports, collects historical and current data, and reviews information. Responsible for maintaining an inventory of technical equipment, calibration tracking, and the ordering and shipping of technical equipment, sampling media and other technical supplies. Knowledge of procurement functions to support maintaining/replacing the equipment and supplies. Manages the budget and related fiscal matters. Maintains records of office expenditures and reconciles monthly obligations. Serves as the office liaison with the Regional Office Budget Analyst to coordinate and submit fiscal year budget proposals. Justifies and submits budgetary reallocation and change requests. Maintains and submits monthly budget expenditures reports. Prepares and submits projected expenditure reports when needed; and reviews and processes Area Office debt collection data and reports. Coordinates the bill and invoice payment process.
