Overview

This position is responsible for assisting with development and delivering technical, compliance and safety training to increase the capabilities, effectiveness, and adaptability of the Distribution Operations organization through the development of individuals and work groups.

Responsibilities

Position will assist with design and delivery of specialized technical training, qualification evaluations, and required safety/compliance and technical training programs for operating areas that support Gas pipeline operations. Uses Computer Based Training development software packages such as Camtasia and Lectora to produce, edit, and revise training content within the Company's Learning Management System (CourseMill). Position is responsible for proctoring and/or evaluating employees and contractors in determination of Operator Qualifications of those individuals.

A primary function of this position is proctoring. Ensures complete documentation is submitted by Training Consultants and enters records into the departments document retention database (Quest) and PeopleSoft. Provides frequent reports on training assignments and completion of the assignments for Gas Operations from various software platforms:

Quest, PeopleSoft, Industrial Training Services, etc. Position schedules instructor led training, ensuring the proper training personnel and resources are available to conduct training classes. Position will review regulatory requirements, technical procedures, and job processes to develop specific training requirements for job classifications within gas operations.

Position consults with Training leadership in the identification of technical skill deficiencies and provides relevant training remedies. Position processes payment of invoices related to vendor supplied training and materials. Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL_EXPERIENCE-Associate degree in a related field and a minimum of one year of experience in utility operations, or the development and delivery of utility related training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience on a year for year basis is required. Requires excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to develop and retain a broad knowledge of company and field operations, construction standards, safety disciplines/rules, procedures and applicable OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory agency's rules.

Ability to read and comprehend technical journals and regulations and the ability to interpret information for an audience of various backgrounds and skills. Excellent interpersonal skills needed with the ability to interact with all levels within the company and the ability to lead and direct large numbers of employees within classroom settings. Requires the ability to enforce strict ITS proctoring protocols with employees and contractors and identify, report, correct any deficiencies.

Requires the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects. PC and MSOffice proficiency will be necessary for computer-based training and records maintenance. Driver's license is required.;SPECIAL_QUALIFICATIONS-Possesses in-depth knowledge of safety and health rules, regulations, and reporting requirements, and a knowledge of communication, education, and training techniques.

Previous experience in gas distribution/transmission/storage operations Previous experience as an adult trainer/educator within a Gas Utility. Experience developing Computer Based Training modules. Listed as an Industrial Training Services task evaluator and/or proctor.

Experience with Document retention databases such as OPENTXT (Quest): data entry and reporting. Experience with PeopleSoft software: data entry and reporting.;WORK_CONDITIONS-Normal office environments and regular visits to field work sites that may be damp, dirty, hot, cold, inclement weather, noise, fumes, etc.;PHYSICAL_EFFORTS-Frequent standing and walking required within an office environment and occasional visits to field work sites.
