Job Description and Responsibilities
We are seeking a Safety Supervisor to join our team. In this role, this individual will be responsible for managing the safety culture in our Pueblo, CO facility.
Audit and report on department safety programs to ensure employee safety, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliance and EVRAZ North America's Pueblo Safety Program Compliance
Conduct periodic workplace Hazard Assessments and Safety Inspections
Review written safety programs for effectiveness and compliance
Administer departmental safety program
Review and assess Safety requirements for any process and/or equipment modifications
Conduct safety training for the employees
Coordinate and provide general support to safety committee activities
Provide technical safety support to all department personnel
Assist in environmental issues and compliance, as needed
High School diploma or equivalent; Four year degree or equivalent preferred
Occupational Health & Safety experience in a heavy industry manufacturing facility
Knowledgeable of OSHA regulations
Strong leadership skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Proven ability to organize and motivate teams for safe, high-quality results and maximum productivity
Proven ability to professionally motivate and engage employees
