ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the effective and professional communication of company safety processes, protocols, programs, regulations and laws.
Orientation of safety policies and standards to new employees upon hire
Daily observations of safety activities on site.
Assess company safety training needed; develop and implement safety training programs as needed.
Responsible for making recommendations to the COO regarding updates to company safety policies, assisting with accident investigations, involvement with pre-job site safety meetings to determine potential safety risks and assisting in the pre-planning process of future projects.
Develop a clear understanding of safety responsibilities for each foreman or supervisor, ensuring they are knowledgeable and compliant with company safety policies and procedures.
Responsible for investigative process, determining causes, and documenting site accidents and near miss incidents. This includes recommendation on corrective actions and preventive measures.
Responsible for construction site safety inspections, completion of inspection reports as applicable, including corrective actions.
Assist with ensuring subcontractors of all tiers comply with company safety programs, and related upstream and downstream contractual obligations.
Accompany the Occupational Health and Safety Inspector during a project inspection or assign another supervisor when unavailable.
Responsible for employee training and development in the areas of safety and related topics.
Valid Colorado driver license and clean driver record is required.
Ability to meet the fitness for duty requirements as may be required of upstream clients is required.
