Midwest Valve Services LLC, a leading provider of improved industrial process performance and reliability, is currently offering an opportunity for a Safety Relief Valve Technician to join our fast paced, customer oriented environment in our Minooka, IL location. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and efficient repair of safety relief valves in our facility and at customer sites.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Repair safety relief valves to National Board VR Code

  • Read and interpret manufactures drawings and spring charts

  • Machine nozzles, discs and associated parts to OEM specifications

  • Perform measurements with

  • Dial calipers

  • Micrometers

  • Dial indicators

  • Apply advanced math skills to verify critical dimensions

  • Perform machine and hand lapping of nozzles and discs

  • Perform valve write-ups including

  • Nameplate data

  • Guide and nozzle ring settings

  • Spring number

  • Pressure and leak test valves to National Board, API and ASME standards

  • Travel as required throughout Midwest Valve Services territory

  • Perform field service and valve testing with computerized lift assist device

  • Complete preventative maintenance on department equipment

  • Support National Board audit activities

  • This position requires up to 50 percent travel

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma required

  • Industrial safety and relief valve experience preferred

  • Working knowledge of National Board Inspection Code (NBIC)

  • Working knowledge of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)

  • High computer application literacy including Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn internal business systems.

VIEW JOBS 4/7/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-06T00:00 POSITION SUMMARY The Patient Coordinator/ Optometric Technician will cover both roles within the office, assisting patients at the front desk and with pre-testing procedures. This position greets and processes all incoming/outgoing patients, monitors patient flow, answers telephone to company standards, schedules and confirms patient appointments, and processes insurance information. This position is also responsible to preparing the patient for the doctor to examine and perform any special tests. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Ensure customers expectations are exceeded by directing and communicating patient needs effectively and efficiently. * Effectively answer the telephone, schedule patient appointments to company standards by utilizing resource scheduling . * Effectively greet incoming\outgoing patients immediately upon entering the office. * Obtain and verify insurance eligibility for all applicable patients. * Audit and edit insurance claims through Enterprise for submission to Home Office. * Enter patient's demographic and insurance information into POS software program. * Confirm all patients' appointments, for the following day, by 12:00 p.m. on the preceding day. * Confirm that all contact lenses have arrived for Recheck\Pick-Up Appointments. * Attach the proper routing slip and insurance authorization - obtaining a copy of patient's insurance ID card when applicable. * Check patients out through Point of Sale system. * Ensure that patient has been made aware of all promotions and offers. * Immediate notify Manager\Assistant Manager of any "walking Rx's" and/or appointments. * Prepare invoices and packing slips to be submitted to Home Office. * Close & balance POS software program at day end, completing daily deposit, ensuring that it properly balances. * Fax daily sales summary report to Home Office on a daily deposit form prior to 12:00 p.m. * Maintain cleanliness and organized appearance of front desk at all times. * Develop skills to assist patients in all aspects of optical dispensary. * Attend all office meetings. * Participate in all training opportunities offered by My Eye Dr. * Other duties, as assigned. Under the general supervision of the optometrist: * Obtains chief Complaint * Obtains medical histories * Reviews and records medications * Explains, measures, and records color vision and depth perception * Explains and obtains auto refraction, visual acuities, cover test, visual fields, and other procedures, products, and tests * Performs pinhole acuity and Amsler Grid * Administers and records Extra Ocular Movement (EOM's), Near Point Convergence(NPC), Accommodation, and Pupil Testing * Explains myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism * Uses lensometer to read single vision lenses, bifocal lenses, trifocal lenses, and progressives EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS * High School degree/GED required. AA or BA/BS in related field is desirable. * 1-3 years of related experience within a similar office environment. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES * Demonstrated success in a retail, office environment addressing a broad spectrum of customer requirements and preferences. * Demonstrated ability to establish positive patient rapport and build relationships to establish repeat customer-trends. * Strong communication skills (oral and written) with the proven ability to manage priorities in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment. * Ability to multi-task, set priorities and ensure that patient commitments/deadlines are met. * Proficiency in utilization of automated equipment and systems standard to the optometry industry. PHYSICAL DEMANDS * This position requires the ability to communicate and exchange information, utilize equipment necessary to perform the job, and move about the office.
