  • Position Summary

This person will assist in the duties for environmental and safety programs at the site provide guidance and technical support to site management and employees on activities that may have environmental or safety impacts

  • Duties and Responsibilities

  • Daily activities focused on Environmental Protection and Employee Safety

  • Preparation of MSDS, master labels and other documentation as needed

  • Aid management with safety and regulatory audits

  • Coordinate the hazardous waste removal and handling procedures

  • Assist in the administration with customer inquiries on shipping, handling, and disposal of chemicals

  • Assist in generating literature for orders, MSDS, etc.

  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

  • Supports implementation of an effective preventative maintenance program to ensure the stewardship of DRS assets

  • Responds to problems and issues in a tactful and expedient manner

  • Supports facilities inspections and reporting requirements

  • Collects data and generates reports and metrics

  • Basic Qualifications (include education and years of experience required)

  • Bachelors Degree in EHS, Science or related field preferred with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment ( preferred)

  • Experience with OSHA and annual compliance training strongly preferred

  • Strong communication, organization and negotiation skills are mandatory

  • Must have excellent PC-based computer skills

Employee will provide supervision and custody of inmates in their assigned food preparation and food service work areas for a large male facility. Oversee Inmate workers engaged in a variety of activities in food production including cooking, baking and serving food to the inmate population. Work includes but is not limited to, communicating verbally and in writing; input and comprehend computer data, secure and maintain equipment, read comprehend and calculate menus; observe sanitary food handling practices; understand food nutritional values; inventory and rotate stock; complete CPR; Firearms, Unarmed Self-Defense training and work a varied schedule. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies Listed below are the knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) associated with this position. These KSAs, along with the minimum education and experience listed, are required in order to be deemed "eligible" for this position.
