This person will assist in the duties for environmental and safety programs at the site provide guidance and technical support to site management and employees on activities that may have environmental or safety impacts
Duties and Responsibilities
Daily activities focused on Environmental Protection and Employee Safety
Preparation of MSDS, master labels and other documentation as needed
Aid management with safety and regulatory audits
Coordinate the hazardous waste removal and handling procedures
Assist in the administration with customer inquiries on shipping, handling, and disposal of chemicals
Assist in generating literature for orders, MSDS, etc.
Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
Supports implementation of an effective preventative maintenance program to ensure the stewardship of DRS assets
Responds to problems and issues in a tactful and expedient manner
Supports facilities inspections and reporting requirements
Collects data and generates reports and metrics
Basic Qualifications (include education and years of experience required)
Bachelors Degree in EHS, Science or related field preferred with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment ( preferred)
Experience with OSHA and annual compliance training strongly preferred
Strong communication, organization and negotiation skills are mandatory
Must have excellent PC-based computer skills
