Kelly Services is currently seeking an experienced
Safety Manager for a full time permanant position with the world's largest oilfield service company in Sugar Land TX .
The Safety Manager is to provide line management with continuous advice and support to ensure that Safety remains an integral part of the business and equal in priority to production and profitability. They will be a role model in the application of all Safety policies and standards.
They ensure adherence to national and regional legislation and internal policies. This involves implementing, promoting, auditing and advising management on compliance issues.
Reports to P&LS General Manager. Safety Specialists, Training Manager, and Compliance Administrator report to this position.
Adapt and implement a safety program aligned to the specific risks involved in the trucking industry
o Generating and implementing standards and procedures
o Manage the Driver Safety Bonus Program
Develop and lead a competent and motivated safety organization.
o Coach and guide including safety training and competency progress of your direct report
Define safety metrics and objectives
Liaise with clients regarding safety at a corporate level
Conducting management review meetings to assess the effectiveness of the safety management system and identify required improvements.
To ensure adequate training is provided to all personnel, including contractors, to meet the needs and safety requirements for minimum, job-related, and appropriate process specific training
To ensure that all accidents and non-conformances are properly notified, investigated, reviewed and followed up, as per the Reporting Standard, and to participate in investigations of major failures and accidents.
To advise Management on the compliance of the local safety programs with all local and national applicable regulations, i.e. OSHA, DOT, EPA,
Utilize data to identify trends and address areas requiring improvement
To lead audit program and verify compliance with P&LS standards using appropriate checklists
To develop safety partnerships with clients, suppliers/contractors and promote safety leadership within the Industry
Keep abreast of any changes to regulatory requirements and and informs management accordingly.
Provide regular, transparent feedback to all field employees regarding their safety performance
Utilize technology to increase efficiency in the safety function and mitigate risks
University Degree with a minimum of 5 years Safety or equivalent business experience
Excellent understanding of transportation industry
Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship
Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm
