Safety Manager - DPW

Duties: Under the direction of the Director of Public Works or his/her designee, the Safety Manager serves as the Department's health and safety coordinator, tasked with developing health and safety programs and ensuring Department compliance with all applicable safety standards. The Safety Manager will be responsible for assisting with and monitoring routine maintenance and repair work as well as implementing City-wide programs including safety inspections, accident investigations, and safety training to maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal laws.

Qualifications

Qualifications: Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Requires a Hoisting Engineer's License in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws, Ch. 146, Sec. 53. Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required. Must have two (2) - three (3) years of experience in a construction-related position and/or one (1) - two (2) years of experience in a safety related position. Must have OSHA-30 Certification.
