1.Completes chemical and physical exposure risk assessments, hazard assessments, industrial hygiene monitoring, process safety analysis, incident investigations, environmental regulatory field analysis, support for environmental reports and permit applications.
2.Utilizes a variety of industrial hygiene monitoring, sampling and analytical equipment and instruments to evaluate chemical and noise exposures; maintains detailed records of sampling activities.
3.Conducts routine and follow-up industrial hygiene surveys of site facilities and departments; prepares reports of findings and submits recommendations.
4.Interacts with departments to correct non-compliance issues, including follow-up on correction actions.
5.Advises employees on occupational health programs related to chemical and physical hazards.
6.Recognize emerging problems and pro-actively develop solutions.
7.May audit implementation of the chemical safety and biosafety program.
8.May perform respiratory fit testing (prefer if already experienced on this, but willing to train).
Bachelors Degree in required, concentration in Industrial Hygiene or Safety or Environmental related technical discipline preferred.
6 months - 2 years minimum applied industrial hygiene work experience.
Proficient in critical thinking, problem solving, communication skills, project management and MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point).
Ability to perform job responsibilities with minimal to moderate oversight.
Experience in a pharmaceutical or chemical industry a plus.
Very strong possibility of extension / chance to go perm at the end of the contract.
