We are seeking a full-time Safety Improvement Coordinator to join our team in Portland, Oregon.

The Safety Improvement Coordinator will assist with all aspects of safety and health in our manufacturing plant and administration building. You will provide support and resources to the leaders to build a safety culture that drives continuous improvement in Safety and Health. You will promote Team Member safety through incident prevention and training, and you will work closely with staff at all levels to ensure the plant has all safety measures and training in place.

Your other duties include but are not limited to conducting employee safety orientations and training; developing safe work procedures; working with the site safety committee; acting as an emergency coordinator on the Emergency Response Team; and ensuring that incident investigations and follow-up actions are completed timely.

If you enjoy problem solving, are highly organized, enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing plan, have excellent communication skills and a positive and motivating attitude - you could be the ideal candidate. You will also bring some professional experience managing safety in an industrial environment. Education may be substituted for some experience.


  • Some industrial manufacturing experience


  • Associate or bachelor's degree in an Occupational Safety related field; Industrial Hygiene or related discipline preferred

  • High School Diploma or GED required
