Job Description:

The candidate will be responsible for ongoing management and enhancement of safety programs and overall regulatory compliance in an aircraft manufacturing environment.

Candidate will oversee ESH program assessments, critical operations oversight, accident investigations, and ensure proper documentation of OSHA requirements.

The candidate must be focused on accident and injury prevention and will manage safety program performance through effective communications, project management, and development of continuous improvement initiatives.

The candidate will be responsible for developing new solutions to identify and minimize potential hazards within a manufacturing environment.

Candidate will be responsible for working closely with program and functional leadership, engineering, and employees to assess and address safety aspects of engineering controls, engaging employees to address safety concerns and determining safe work behaviors.

Candidate must be able to successfully work independently and as part of a functional team to identify, analyze and resolve issues.

Candidate will represent the organization across multiple levels of the company and demonstrate the ability to collaborate and effectively communicate organization strategy and objectives.

Must have the ability to research and apply the best industrial and working practices to provide effective services while keeping abreast with changes in laws and regulations.

Possess immense knowledge of health and safety engineering processes and practices. Ability to provide and implement plan objectives and standards timely.

The candidate will track, evaluate and present ESH metrics, support organizational safety initiatives, and injury reduction.

Computer application proficiency.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in the following Environmental Health &

Safety disciplines: machine guarding, crane safety,

ergonomics, accident investigation, lockout/tagout,

electrical safety, fall protection.

VIEW JOBS 4/12/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-11T00:00 Job Description The selected candidate will be a technical staff member for laboratory software development within the LM Aero Labs and Technical Services (L&TS) Simulation Team. This organization develops state of the art, real-time, pilot-in-the-loop fighter and airlift simulations and systems integration laboratories. This includes simulators for the F-16, F-22, F-35, C-5, C-130J, and L-100 aircraft. Software will be developed for Linux, Windows, or Solaris platforms. Selected candidate may operate and maintain existing laboratory venues. Assignments may change over time as required by the organization. Initial assignment will likely involve development, integration, documentation, test and debugging of airframe, aircraft system and avionics software models that contain logical and mathematical solutions for experimental, developmental and production aircraft in computer languages for solutions by means of data processing. Must be able to apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the development life cycle, locate and correct programing errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities. Must be a US citizen. This position will require special access and a Secret security clearance updated within the last 6 years to start. Basic Qualifications * Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or related field, from an accredited university * Experience in the use of Windows and Unix Operating Systems. * Experience interfacing with components through Interface Control Documents * Experience developing, or coursework developing, software in high order languages (C, C++, Java and/or ADA) * Experience with, or coursework in, at least one aircraft system (such as RF or IR sensors, radar, CNI, PVI, EW, or fire control) and/or aerodynamics, engineering mechanics, or equations of motion.
