Ready to take your safety and leadership experience to the next level to work on LAWA safety and security policies and procedures and who serves as the liaison with government entities including but not limited to OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and the FAA.
Assure compliance with the LAWA Safety and Security Program, including:
Establish and administer LAMP Safety Program requirements.
Monitor policies, procedures, programs, standards, and design criteria affecting construction safety each LAMP project.
Participate in weekly element manager's meetings.
Conduct construction site safety audits to identify hazardous conditions and recommends corrective actions.
Coordinate construction safety activities such as project site safety audits and attends pre-bid and post-award contract meetings.
Collect and analyzes injury, claim, and safety survey statistical data to write technical reports and makes presentations as required.
Prepare and submits monthly reports that analyze the safety program to identify trends and report on designated KPI's.
Establish and maintain a safety program record-keeping system.
Assist in or review all accident investigations to ensure root causes are identified and effective hazard controls are recommended.
Review construction Injury Illness and Prevention Programs (IIPPs) and other safety plans as needed submitted by contractors for accuracy and conformance with LAMP safety standards.
Work in cooperation with the Claims Coordinator to develop and monitor claim reporting procedures.
Work in cooperation with Loss Control and Risk Management representatives in the investigation of claims, analysis of potential hazards and development of methods to reduce losses.
Conduct construction safety and standard reporting procedure training for project managers and on-site employees.
Train, assign projects and tasks to lower-level personnel, and review reports for completeness and accuracy.
4-year degree in Safety Engineering or Sciences, degree in related field, License and/or professional certification
Minimum of 15+ years of related work experience in the field of safety and health
Supervisory experience with managing safety professionals on multiple project locations is also required
Requires extensive knowledge of domestic and international safety standards.
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to train all levels of the organization in key company safety training programs.
Ability to supervise and manage safety professionals located throughout the organization domestically and internationally.
