What You Will Do
Maintain a strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety PPE
Promote a safety culture with all team members to help the Tacoma facility embrace and achieve our Path to Zero Safety Strategy
Provide coaching and mentoring to facilitate safety ownership on the production floor
Provide support in developing, improving, and implementing training systems to meet facility needs
Coordinate the compliance system model at the site, assisting employees in developing and implementing fundamental safety programs (critical hazards)
Conduct or assist in incident investigations involving high-potential events or conditions
Perform hazard identification risk assessments and evaluate existing and future equipment, processes, and operations risks
Conduct Safety & Health training for employees, contractors, etc., as required and needed
Lead corrective action development and completion for identified gaps
Assist in managing online safety tools, including TRAX, Action Plan Tracker, ISNetworld, Change Management, SpheraCloud, etc.
Ensure that new hires undergo comprehensive safety training during the onboarding process using company safety standards
Work a flex schedule to provide safety guidance to the on/off shifts as needed
Travel less than 10%
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Two (2) or more years of safety administrative experience OR Educational Program in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Engineering
Experience using Microsoft Office suite
Experience managing multiple projects/initiatives at once, prioritizing appropriately
High School diploma
What Will Put You Ahead
Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Engineering
Knowledge of federal and state safety regulatory requirements
Experience with OSHA regulations
Gypsum process or Georgia Pacific experience
Experience as a Compliance System Owner (CSO) or CSO team member
Experience using TRAX, GoCanvas, Save My Life app, and Microsoft SharePoint
For this role, we anticipate paying $80,000 - $95,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
