Safety Coordinator

Position Summary:

The Safety Coordinator is responsible for the training and maintaining all aspects of AAE safety programs.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Partner with department supervisors to ensure appropriate safety training and OSHA compliance.

• Update, enforce, and develop as needed, appropriate safety and emergency policies and procedures.

• Maintain and monitor all safety programs and processes.

• On-site inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices

• Follow and update Federal, State, and local regulations and codes as they change

• Manage written training programs, recordkeeping, and reporting requirements, including the SDS system

• Maintain certification program.

Required Skills:

• Ability to analyze safety data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions

• Ability to train personnel with OSHA and local safety regulations

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Basic Computer Skills

Experience Requirements:

• A minimum of five years of experience in industrial safety is preferred.
