Under direction of the Safety Manager, the Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development, implementation and administration of the Company's safety program to minimize risk. Provide ongoing support to business partners, distributions centers, store operations, and facilities on safety related matters. Work collaboratively across sites to maintain a consistent safety presence and monitor activities for OSHA and company policy compliance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Aid in the development and implementation of processes to support incident prevention and insurance cost reduction
Support front line supervisors in the safety related aspects of the work they perform (by enforcement).
Review core safety metrics and safety performance trends that increase risk to the company and develop tactics to improve casualty liability claims
Weekly reporting of incident trends & provide summary reports to Field & DC management
Support and administer safety systems and training programs that continuously improve safety compliance, risk reduction initiatives and field personnel's safety competencies.
Identify and communicate policy and process change requirements that address exposure to risk and compliance to regulatory standards;
Stay current with OSHA regulations and their impact on company operations.
Assist with administration of safety-related projects and strategic safety initiatives.
Audit company safety & health policies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards;
Prepare reports, presentations, briefings, corrective action plans etc, as needed/requested
Perform safety assessments at assigned locations, document findings and recommend corrective actions
Follow up to ensure corrective actions have been completed
Abide to the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy.
Ensure compliance with internal controls as applicable to your function within the organization.

Experience in Safety Science, Industrial Health, Risk Management, 3-5 years retail safety experience
Knowledge of OSHA Regulations.
Ability to recognize and eliminate hazards and to ensure compliance with EHS policies and procedures.
Professional verbal and written communication skills.
Organizational and prioritization skills as multiple projects and tasks are normal.
Incident investigation and analysis skills.
Experience in implementing a variety of occupational health and safety programs.
Ability to make presentations before a variety of groups.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to travel to various retail locations within operating states up to 50% of the time
Physical abilities to perform all core functions and duties including but not limited to the ability to talk; hear; stand; walk; see; visual acuity to view a computer monitor; manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard for extended periods.
Ability to physically stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and varying shifts, as required.
